Sony HDR-CX100E

I have been using this camera .This camera is specifically designed for video shoot. It can shoot videos up to 1920 x 1080 HD quality to its 8GB built-in flash memory. It has optical zoom of 10x and digital zoom of 120x wich I really awesome. Some extra features of this camera are smile detection, HDMI support, extremely compact which easily fits in one hand and also it can take photos while filming. The optical zoom is only 10x while the digital zoom is up to 120x. a good cam to buy if your looking to buy cam I would recommend this to all

First of all, Let me simply admit that this is not the best option if you looking for photography gadget. Go for some SLR instead. This product is outstanding in terms of sound recording quality (5.1 ch dolby digital) with mic zoom options.

Yes , its true, the zoom mic can record sounds from distant areas, making it a perfect option if you are a nature lover and you are looking for something to capture good jungle footages.

It is very compact in size and very handy to use, comes with steady shot stabilizers. I took nice shots while para gliding. Internal image renderers are ok, like the sunrise/sunset, beach and portrait. The candle light renderer is simple great to shoot in dark conditions. I used the light of match stick to shoot some dark areas, too awesome. Shooting terrains , gradients etc are fun with this cam. One good thing is that it has no red eye problem.There are certain issues with this device. Biggest is lcd controls. It makes really difficult to immediately take a shoot and adjust focus/whitening manually.

Image quality is not that good looking at the price. It has no remote operation features. The battery backup is poor. It takes ~4 hrs for full charge, with full high quality recording it only goes till 45 mins. The smile shutter technology is practically of no use. Face detection is ok. Zoom in only 10X, I felt that atleast 20X is needed for heart-winning shoots.
