Today, the topic of my post is the ‘Site Filter Settings’feature.

What are Site Filters?

Site Filters allow you to filter the opinions and reviews that interest you most

How it is useful?

It helps in a way that you can see the reviews listed in ‘Read All Reviews Page’ according to your Filter Settings.

The first setting is:

“Please select the order you want reviews sorted by”

a) Read Volumes - Reviews are sorted in Ascending Order of the number of times read by members.

b) Trusted Circle – Reviews are sorted by Trusted Circle members’ written review.

Trusted Circle Filter setting is the default for all MouthShut Members once they have registered and activated their MouthShut ID.

c) Product Rating – Reviews are sorted in Ascending Order of the rating given by Review Writer

d) Review Date – Reviews are sorted in Ascending Order by Time and Date

e) Review Rating – Reviews are sorted in Ascending Order by Overall Rating of the reviews.

The second setting is:

Select the types of reviews you would like to see

· Very Useful, Useful, Somewhat Useful, Not Useful, Not Rated – Displays only the reviews which you have selected.

For example, if you wish to see only ‘Very Useful’ and ‘Useful Rating’ Reviews then on selecting so, you will see only those reviews which are Rated ‘Very Useful’ and ‘Useful’ and hides the other Rating Reviews.

Finally:

If you unselect the check box in “Showmembers I distrust and their content”under“Trusted Circle”, Reviews written by the members in your Distrust List will not be shown.

How can I go to the Site Filters Page?

a. Log in and go to your Dashboard Page.

b. Go to My Settings Page under Member's Panel

c. Select the Site Filter Tab.

d. Select and Update your settings as you wish.

Please note, all changes will be applicable only in “Read All Review Pages”.

Today, the topic of my post is the ‘Email Alerts Settings’feature. Here, I will talk about some important alerts.

You will receive all the alerts on your Email ID which you registered with us.

When do you receive alerts and how do you set them?

New ratings on your reviews (Very Useful, Useful, Somewhat Useful or Not Useful)

By default, this alert is set on the Write Review Page and the member (Review Writer) receives alerts when other members rate that review.

New comments on your Review /Diary

As in the previous points, this alert is also set by default on the Review/Diary and the member (Review/ Diary Writer) receives alerts when other members’ comments the same.

Trusted List Alerts

Member receives alerts when someone adds member to his/her Trusted Circle

N ew review/diary by a member.

Go to a member's Profile Page. Click on Alert on new posting by this member. You will receive alerts when that member writes a new Review or Diary.

New reviews on products

Go to the product page on which you would like to receive review updates. Click on Alert on new review on (product name). You will receive alerts when someone writes a new Review on the product

New comments on others' Review/Diary

When you read a Review or Diary you can get updates about comments received on it by other members by setting alerts.

New Gift comes to you

By default, you will receive alerts when a member sends a Virtual Gift to you.

Duration of Alerts

Every six hours you will receive Alerts on Review Rated. Timings: 3 am, 9 am, 3 pm and 9 pm.

Every four hours you will receive comments posted on Diary/Review written by you and other members also. Timings: 12 midnight, 4 am, 8 am, 12 noon, 4 pm, and 8 pm.

How is it useful for you?

Email Alerts help you be in touch with recent updates on Reviews/Diaries, Ratings, Comments, Virtual Gifts and Trusted Circle updates without going to the relevant pages all the time. Once you get an alert on your Email, you can check instantly.

Today, the topic of my post is the ‘Pre-Write Review Page’feature.
How it useful for write review?
Pre-Write review page will allow you to find the product you wish to review easily by our Intelligent Search Feature
Now yon can reduce the steps to find a product by navigating through so many pages.
How do I go to this page?
By clicking “Write a Review” link on the HEADER.
What I need to do for searching a product in Pre-Write review page?Simply select the category in under which the product is listed from the drop down list.

Type the name of the product in the text box.

Our Intelligent Search will show you the list of product names.

Select the product name you wish to write review.

Write Review button will be shown once you selected the product.

Click on Write Review Button.

You will land in the Write review page of the product.

Now can start writing review.
For Example you want to write a review on “Bachna Ae Haseeno” Movie
Our Intelligent Feature will show you the list of products starts with “B” since you begin type “B”
Then keep on typing Ba, Bac, Bach ….
The moment you find the product, select it and press write review button
Hope you will understand and will find it easy while writing reviews

If still you can't find the product, you can find through navigating from Categorgies page by clicking the category name below the Pre Write Search

Today, the topic of my post is the ‘M2M Thread’ feature.

What is the ‘M2M Thread’ feature?

M2M Thread enables MouthShut members to keep track of all conversation between their friends.

How is this feature useful to you?

You can see the conversation history of what you wrote in an M2M and what reply you received for it (till date) between you and your friend.

How can I see the history?

• Login and go to your M2M Inbox
• Read a M2M from your friend.
• You can see a message M2M History with ‘Member ID’ (Click to show)
• Click on “Click to Show” link.

Now you will be able to see all the history of M2Ms between you and your friend.

What is the advantage?

Instead of searching for individual M2Ms and my response to it and all 'to and fro' responses, you can easily see the message which you replied or received by checking the history.

Today's topic is the importance of Tags and Titles in ‘PHOTOS’.

Instead of viewing only photos, people can now see the Title and Tags related to that photo

What are title and tags?

Title is nothing but a name of the photo. A tag is a simple way for you to label your photos.

Why do I enter tag?

Tags are titles related to the photos you upload. Use whatever words you find useful so that they are easy to sort and retrieve. For example: If you are uploading a photo of yours which was taken while playing football, then your tags can be football, game, your name etc.

How do tags helps

Tags are useful in categorizing the photos and in getting better search results. In future we will have search option for photos by tags.

What are the rules for writing Tags?

There are no rules – just give appropriate word, give space or comma for each tag and don’t use the same word

Now take your mobile and type the activation code which is displayed after you register in the following format :

Once you sent the code, you will get a confirmation that your mobile number has been successfully registered with MouthShut.com.

You can start sending SMS Reviews to MouthShut.com.

Today I will tell you how to use the ‘Video Reviews’feature. For the uninitiated, Video Reviews are a unique way of posting your reviews. Instead of only reading your reviews, people can now see your reviews or read and see them simultaneously.

How can you use this feature?
You can upload an appropriate video related to the product on which you are writing review. A video helps members understand the review visually. Most models of mobile phones now have video cameras. Pick your favorite product and tape yourself speaking about that product. Then come to MouthShut.com and load your review. You may also use more sophisticated video cams or webcams.

Do’s
On the ‘Write Review Page’, you can see a video icon at top of editor as shown in attached picture
· Click on that video icon in order to upload a video on your review page. A small layer will open in editor
· Browse your appropriate video file which is related to the product from your computer storage location. Your file will automatically start uploading once you select it.
· A status bar will display the status of your video upload. You can, meanwhile start writing your review.
Once the video gets uploaded, you can submit your review.

Don’ts:
Please DON’T click on the video icon in the editor if you are not going to Upload a video in your review. Click on the icon only if you have a video to upload.

How short or how long?
Upload videos between one to six minutes; the maximum size is 100MB.

What are the file formats we support?
You can use the following file formats .mpg, .avi, .mp4, .3gp, .wmv, .mov, .asf, .mpeg, .dat

Today I will tell you about how to use ‘Share this review’feature on the Read Review page.


1. How is this feature useful to you?
You can share your favorite reviews by using this feature on sites like Delicious, Facebook, MySpace, Digg, Yahoo Bookmarks, Google Bookmarks etc
Keep all your bookmarks and access them from home, office, anywhere. Share your reviews with family, friends, and colleagues.

2. What do you need to do?
· Go to the review page you wish to share
For eg: This is the review which you want to share

· Click on the ‘Share this review’ link beside Write Review tab
· Select any service in which you have account (Delicious, Facebook, MySpace, Digg , Yahoo Bookmarks, Google Bookmarks etc)
· Login with your service account details
· Post it and open your service account
· Click on your profile and there you will see your review has been book marked.

3. What is the use of this feature?
At any time you can read your favorite review and share it with your friends and family. Give your review the exposure it deserves. Let the whole world read it.

Updates :Name of Bookmark tab has changed to SHARE THIS REVIEW. Position of Share This Review tab has been changed as now it is shifted near to Write your own review button
