The 350cc engine on the Thunderbird is just enough for crusing over highways pretty comfortably . Since is a royal Enfield product it has so much comfort that long rides also becomes easy . I can say it's good for travellers as a mid range vehicle. Since it is a cruiser I think the mileage it offers is pretty good is what I can say. For city use its powerful and can be a bit tiring in traffic because it's larger rake angle which makes handling difficult in city . Overall the bike is very good .

It’s always a very exciting prospect when Royal Enfield launches a new flagship. The smallish Chennai based company has been churning out a steady stream of motorcycles almost since the days of the Raj and if anyone was to look at the kind of bikes the company made then and what’s rolling out of the factory gates right now, they might be forgiven for thinking little has changed in over the last five decades or so. But they’d be dead wrong. Classically styled and nostalgia fuelled they might be, but the boffins at Royal Enfield have slowly, but steadily, modernising the motorcycles they make, at this juncture they probably offer a very interesting mix of old world and new in a way nobody has really done so far.

The last big jump we saw what the appropriately named Classic 500 – a bike that looks like a 1950s Bullet, but is powered by a modern aluminium-block 500cc electronic fuel injected engine which shot to flagship status in the company’s line-up. And we absolutely loved it in every way. So you can imagine then that when RE announced that a new flagship was coming out in the form of the Thunderbird, it left us a little stumped.

Let me get this one fact out of the way. I’m not what you might call an ‘Enfield-guy’, but I’ve had the opportunity of clocking a few thousand kilometres on the older Twinspark 350cc Thunderbird during the 2009 Royal Enfield Himalayan Odyssey. While the bike certainly managed to impress me, it still wasn’t the quintessential ‘Enfield’ for me, and that slot always belonged to bikes like the Machismo ( LB) 500 and more recently the Classic/Desert Storm 500. And I absolutely adore these bikes, so it was with natural scepticism that I approached this new Thunderbird 500.

In the way it looks that is. While an average Joe might have difficulties distinguishing an RE Classic from a Standard, there is no mistaking this new Thunderbird 500 for anything else on the road. Now everyone, including myself, had first seen the T-bird 500 in January this year at the 2012 Auto Expo in Delhi, and based on that I had already formed an opinion on the way it looks. Let’s just say that it wasn’t a very positive one.

But after seeing the bike standing in front of me in our office parking, I realised that I mustn’t have seen the bike at the Expo very properly and how wrong my opinion had been so far. The bike is absolutely striking any way you look at it. While the overall proportions of the original Thunderbird ( which has been around for the last 10 years by the way) have been maintained, the new bike is full of little changes, both aesthetic and technical that gives it a very different aura.

In an unfaired bike, the engine is a standout member of the design and forms a big part of the aesthetic appeal. In the first 350cc T-bird, the archaic AVL engine had been somewhat of an eyesore. This was thankfully revised when the AVL was swapped out for the Twinspark UCE mill in 2008. Four years hence however, the design gurus at RE have taken a very different approach with the fuel-injected 500cc UCE motor that has been plonked into this new T-bird. Gone is that dull aluminium finish, replaced by a full matte black treatment to the crankcase while the block features a similar flat black finish, albeit with buffed edges on the cooling fins. The result is absolutely stunning and vastly reminiscent of what you find on some of the Evolution engines on the Harley-Davidson Sportsters.

Royal enfield thunderbird is an amazing bike. It has the quality of racing, adventure, riding and many others. At first I want too tell about its heavy metaled body which is good in the defense. By chance if an accident happened there will b nothing to loss in its body. After that the mileage its mileage is 35-40km/litre. Next comes its speed of running. It has the highest speed of 160km/hour. And there is no problem to control it in the speed. Then I will say about its quality of racing. It can take over the bikes beside you in racing. I have experienced the bike because one of my brother have this. I will just say you to check it.

it has 499cc as well as 350cc single cylinder engine with great power.this bike has 20 litre fuel tank capacity.

in 2015 royal enfield make a little bit change in the thunderbird, such as colour scheme and other additional features also.

thunderbirds comes with front head lamp with the projector as well as LED lights which looks fantastic.

it also has digital speedometer with LCD display, there is back rest support with the removable option.

rear break also comes with option of the disc break, and comes with awesome LED tail lamps.

thunderbird has more than 4 colour options which are as follows: -

stone, asphalt, marine, flicker, lightning, .etc all the colours are looks speechless.

I have purchase this bike few times ago but tha experienve is extremely proud , I want to share some features which I want to recommanded that .its engine is highly empowered and give a pressure boost and a in little time itsvspeed will increses rapidly .its seat arrangement , lights , avarage also be good , initialy I found that the decision of buying a royal enfiled thunderbird would be wrong but I gound that this decision is extremely right inshort I want that if you want buy a new bike please seen it

It's a muscle bike guys powerful heart threatening sound and good royal as it's name always this company gives if want to buy it I have some information about it it has powerful engine and very good balance on long drive if want u want good comfortable ride this must for u all .but it has poor average around 25 to 30 kmpl

Good Engine, Good mileage

Style:- Good.

Engine Performance, Fuel Economy and Gearbox Engine is good. Good milege and gear is bit hard, but OK.

Have touch the speed of 120 km/h without any discomfort.

Final Words Finally, this bike is awesome for any age group people and this is the bike meant for Indian roads.

Not too costly. Under normal range.

Mileage is decent.

Maintain is a issue though

There is hardly any change in the performance of the bike.this is the best bike for highway or long tour most comfortable.

Fuel efficiency is also very good, mileage is around 28 km per liter on city. It reaches to 100 kilometers per hour in 15 second. Powerful engine with a twin spark 350cc engine with 4 stroke. It have most powerful brake system with two discs brake. The most comfortable riding position with upraised handle bar.most buy motorcycle for everyone.

Got My Beast on 9th February 2016.Since then I am in love with her.

The performance is great loved it.It took a bit of time to get a hang of its handling but then it was fine.Followed all the user manual break in procedures the bike works well and performs well.

Had gone on a 450 km ride in a single day must say its an actual tourer. No pains at all unlike the other RE variants that are full of vibrations.It makes the people turn their heads. Now coming to the ownership experience I hated the after sales experience from the Showroom as it was pathetic.

They messed with my bike during service.Had to resend the bike twice for rework. Seriously the workmen at the dealership are amateurs.

That's the only thing that is keeping Enfield at the back foot.Otherwise the bike is awesome.Cheers and Keep Thumping.Update Done 6000km and the bike is close to 6 months.Don't know whether the moderator checks this post.The bike is in Great condition yet.Had it serviced recently a small suggestion -The bike will perform even better with motul engine oils. The liquid gun oil is not that great.I mean just 3000km for a cruising bike! Suggestion 2 quality trained mechanics cause in my scenario they messed up with my disk assembly and wiring. Similar complaints from other customers too. Must Say this is one of the most stable bikes in the enfield roster.(Yet to know about himalayan.

Royal enfield thunderbird is the cute and heavy engined bike for long drive and short drive.it most commonly using youth in india.and also the long driving drivers.the bike is designed for long drive in off road and on road.

Back support is there for back sitting person.good suspension is available in the bike .the bike is more in Kerala after the hit of a film based on long drive with royal enfield thunderbird.different cc is available and coastly it is about 1.5 lakh is the price of the bike. I wish that the bike is very executive and heavy look.

Design and style:

Royal enfield has kept the original design of thunderbird intact.these changes are similar to new thunderbird 500.royal enfield has cut down the size of its rear fenders and now features a new stylish LED tail light.the chain sprocket of this bike also moves to the right side while it sports a new disc brake on the left side.

Engine and gearbox:

The bike retains its twin spark 346cc engine. Its a single cylinder, 4 stroke engine which produces a peak power of 19.8 bhp at 5250 rpm. This engine is mated with a five speed manual gearbox.it has one gear down and four gears up shift pattern.

Mileage:

Royal enfield thunderbird 350 may return you a mileage of around 25km/ltr on highways while its fuel efficiency on highways ranges from 28-32km/ltr.

Comfort:

The bike offer a high seating riding postute with up raised handlebar.this handle bar allows your elbows to stay in a relaxed pisition and also offers you a firm palm grip.its seats very comfortable.

Its headling very smooth.

This is the best comfortable bike for offroad driving and for villages.

Royal enfield launches its latest model in 300 cc it is very comfortable in driving and average is  approximately 30kmpl on off roads.

It is driving for 3 persons.it looks very nice in style and black color is most selling.i recommend collegers to buy this.
