I am in Chennai & bought this blue star V model a/c(3 star rating) A/C before 6 months back.


The minor problems I have with this is the cooling period it takes for initial cooling & the bottom finishing is not linear, there is a slight curve in this. The fuzzy mode works good but not sure how much the power saver, comfort sleep works. The remote is awesome but even though this has radium buttons you need some light see what written on its in dark.


Price:


I am not sure how public think that blue star is costliest a/c. Even my friend working blue star corporate division thinks so. But when I bought this A/C who ever compared the price with other non-basic model a/c they felt blue star is cheaper. In fact I got this cheaper than what is suggested in internet as went to the dealer directly.


Service:


I bought this a/c from direct Dealer Maruthi air conditioners Chennai as they are nearer to US. The service is awesome & this is the reason I always prefer dealers.




  • They respond nicely form beginning(phone enquiry onwards)




  • They installed A/C within 24 hrs after the payment.




  • 5 months later when I asked for replacement of single booster to double booster stabilizer within 6 hrs they send service boy and they confirmed the same. Additionally they themselves cleaned the A/C without single paisa.




  • The service boy also told us for 1st year you can opt this kind of cleaning service free of cost every 3 months.




  • After some argument they reduced 500rs for double booster replacement & installed it on next/same day.

I am about u 2 tell about my a/c, bluestar its nice as well it has defects guys, as well since 4-5 mnths our family is using this a/c, when compared to other a/c it has less features, I think I should have gone with other company, regarding cooling and sound issues is very good friends,


Well I can explain some defects it has no automatic sensor to start or stop itself, and for cooling it takes 15-20 mins and I agree that its better for the priced money.and coming to the customer response was a big hell we bought it 2 days before and the executive arrived after 2 daz 2 fix it, I still remember him, ofcourse I hope it doesnt happen everywhere.


but its ok guys u can go with this a/c it will satisfies u .


we bought 1.5 ton a/c for 22.5 k.

Blue Star Window AC worst servicing, Please don't

I am just writing this mail to make sure no one should experience the same kind of problem. I will also put this email in all the possible network media (face book, twitter etc) and circulate to whoever I know in the software field to make sure no one will face this problem in future.


Problem

I bought Blue Star Windows 1.5 ton AC probably in the year of 2007 with stabilizer. Blue Star Dealer itself visited and fitted my AC and stabilizer. From then it is working well and mostly we use during the summer time / whenever it is hot. Our usage will be around 4 to 5 hours by keeping the timer.


On March 17th, 2011 I got the problem where is compressor is not switching on. I called Blue Star and given complaint and their local technician visited my home on 18th of March. He told that there is problem with capacitor and it will charge around 950/=. So we have paid 950/= + 500/= (service charge) which is 1450/=. We have used for almost a week and observed that it is working well. We got the same problem after 1 week.


I have called Blue Star and again given complaint. The technician who visited said that, it is again the problem with capacitor. I told him why again, he said don’t reveal sir, it is duplicate one. And also he requested not to complain blue star people and we will change by tomorrow same time. Myself and my wife both are working, so my wife took off and she came to home expecting that this guy will come. No one has come and I called that guy and he said he will come on next day. Again we have waited and no one has come. Then I have given complaint to Mumbai office and thank god someone from same service center visited around 11 PM in the night.


He started verifying sockets, stabilizer etc to prove that I am wrong in giving complaint. He finally told that there is problem with stabilizer where it is giving more output. He told me to use the direct connection to power socket. After he left, I switched on for around 25 minutes and then I see the same problem.


This time, I thought it is not good idea to give complaint again to Blue Star. I called AC technician from our known friends and he has actually observed and realized that my COMPRESSOR has gone. I was shocked as I have to buy new one and felt bad for the services provided by the BLUE STAR company. The technician was surprised and saying “ I don’t know why Blue Star people capacitor of 45mm, they should use 50 +/- 5 mm”. I said, I don’t know anything I just relied on them and this is the output.


So Guys please be aware of what was the problem and never call Blue Star technicians when you get problems with you AC. I think this is most worst service I have ever seen in my life from a big Corporate company.


It is really big lesson for me. Of course, I am thinking on taking few actions on them.

This should help those planning to buy ACs. The title rightly says no service. There are other with pathetic service too. But with Bluestar, they just want to sell and not service.


It seems the department itself is not existing and they put everything on the reseller to attend to, which certainly cannot do it without company backup....the dealer cant even attend to complaint without the SAP system forwarding the compaint to them , I am told, They cant put the part they have in stock for replacement becasue then company wont replace it for them, In total all methods are in palce so that a customer would fed up and get the part replaced under warranty by outside vendors.


Despite follow up , if you get their service person to atend to you, you must be treat yourself as president of USA. If you are please go ahead and buy Blue Star Products.
