I had come to India on a month long vacation and I decided to use airtel pre-paid cellular service. My impression about Airtel was good in part because of their diversification in many areas.
Little did I realize that how pathetic their service will be. I was in the south Bangalore area and the connectivity was horrible.
I almost always had to dial 2-3 times for a connection. And there was always a call drop during my conversation. Also I noticed that the incoming calls used to drop more frequently that outgoing calls. Quite obvious because incoming does not do airtel any favor.
The call quality was bad. To sum it up I was very dissappointed with Airtel and will never use their service again. Vodafone was much better than airtel in Bangalore.
