I booked 6 nights at Hotel Grey Castle in Haridwar.
I reached there.
What was on the site and on the ground was poles apart.
I walked out in 12 minutes.
The hotel was dirty. Poor linen. Poor bed. Dirty bathroom.
In covid times, hotels like this should be sealed..
I demanded a refund.
Travel Guru is not entering me..
I feel cheated for 6 nights stay... Lost 13k INR. Stay away. Its a fraud. Mazher Bashir Jaffar. Mumbai.

I have done the booking for my brother and their friends when I booked the room its showing good view of the room but my brother visited in the property they have very bad room category provided to us, there is no working tv, bed is also in very bad condition .

Travel guru had took the money. But, I didn’t get the confirmation & driver had never showed to pick-up. It’s wasting money and waiting time. Never make any future reservation with this company ever again!!!
We won a "free" trip to Las Vegas through this sham of a company in a contest at the Travel Expo. The "fees and taxes" they charge total much more than what you would be able to book a trip for in full. They prey on pulling the wool over peoples eyes and pretending that they are doing good while at the end of the day its all about the bottom line.
DO YOUR RESEARCH before booking a free trip. They wanted$500 CAD for a 3 night stay and round trip airfare direct. Sounds like a great deal until you look up the costs. Flights direct round trip all in for two on the exact dates were$316 and the hotel was$116 for the exact dates. These were all-in prices including all fees and taxes - unsure as to why they are getting taxed at such a high rate.
They also have a number of upcharge fees including$100 per person to book you a direct flight - which is mind boggling since the process of booking the flight is exactly the same whether it be direct or not and the cheapest priced flights for these specific days were direct flights. Clear cash grab.
The worst part is that we paid(albeit to a charitable cause)$20 per ticket to be entered to win this sham of a prize.
PLEASE do your research before booking anything with TravelGuru.
I fell to the scam of this company who contacted me to purchase my vacation membership. After sending thousands of dollars to pay “upfront taxes/fees” and getting nothing in return I will be contacting the authorities to shut this company down. Shame on you DAVID SOLISE!!
Had made a booking for hotel highway king, Jaipur for a room for 5 nights @19k inr. The hotel room was having a strong odour of pest control or polish. This was brought to the notice of the hotel staff who informed that pest control is done after each check out. The odour was so strong that could give normal people asthma.
We were shown 2 rooms but both had the same odour. Even bathrooms were not adequately refreshed. Unbelievable that such a hotel is even listed on travel guru.
We called Travelguru and they informed that they will speak to hotel mgmt. after 30 mts again we were put on a conference call with hotel mgmt who mentioned that they are open to offering rooms. We did mention that all rooms we saw had the same issue and it’s not possible to stay in the rooms.
Here travel guru offered no support to obtain a refund even though we have not even stayed a night.
Would recommend not to go by listing on travel guru as they have no sense of scrutiny or ability to demand service from hotel property.
My gujrat trip booking money not yet refunded by travel guru.
Booked hotel from travel guru paid online, but at hotel site hotel management not ready to give me room , they told we are not tie up with travelguru.
So how travel guru can take booking on behalf of such hotels? At that time I don't have any option paid amount at hotel in cash, after that only I am able to check in my room.
travelguru customer care(after a lot of quarreling) promises me that refund will be provided within 7 working days, but it's more than 15 days, not any response from travel guru.
Fake travel agency.. Beware from them.
After coming from vacation, done google research find a lot of similar complaint on Internet against travel guru.this was my first booking from travel guru..And it's like hell...few Pic of hotel room attached.
I had plan my trip to lakshwadeep though travel guru, they call gave the package after reading the review I told them that their feedback are not good they said service industry everyone cnt be happy. So somehow I thought of going a head which was my mistake we told them we will do 10000payment and rest once you do the booking.
They agree after one week of follow up they call and say please make the full payment then we will share the booking details. We said this was not agreed their was a lot of Argument happen after that we told them we want cancel the booking and want our money back they tell us we will give only 1000refund as we have spend on booking.
It a fraud company and caller are fraud. Please don't travel with them.
Please be careful when you book through travel guru. I had a disaster experience when I booked through travel guru. I book room for 1 night to stay with my family including 1 year old baby and got confirmation with book id and reference numbers. My luck I contacted the hotel to check with early check in and also related to restaurant availability. Surprisingly I got feedback that they don't have rooms on those particular day and the hotel does not have any contract with Travelguru. I still wonder without contract how they can list the hotel in their website and make confirmation on rooms. And hotel manager also directed me to cancel the booking immediately and also also he informed they always involving in such activities for long time ... Then I contacted customer service to cancel my booking but they refuse to do so and they suggested me to take alternate hotel nearby but I strongly not accepted their offer and insisted them to cancel my booking and asked for refund ... Really got frustrated with this travel agent and finally I got my refund after 10 days of comtinous follow up with theri customer service team ... So I recommend if u still gonna place booking through this agent better contact the hotel and check the relationship between the hotel and Travelguru , also check the room availability and then go for it ...
Travel Guru.com is nice website telling about the travel guru homestays and all of there detailed knowledge .I have found the best hotels in it and cheaper too.It provides booking related to bookvillas, hotels, Guest houses the perfect gateway to family and friends holidays .I am giving 5 stars to it as per my views and experience and take a look on it decide your views .
Booked hotel through travel guru for two nights at Havelock island (port Blair). Payments made, confirmed mail from travel guru with confirmation no of hotel and on third day cancelled for no reason. With few days left to undertake the journey travel guru can ruin your trip. We cautious....
I booked hotels using TravelGuru for 28-April-2018. I got a confirmation mail from TravelGuru that booking is "successful". Booking reference number is 2404813109309, Homestay confirmation number is TGU0005081279. I was planning my trip as I did not suspect anything fishy at that time. Luckily I called the hotel to check about their checkout timings and then all hell broke loose. Hotel informed my that they don't even have a tie-up with Travelguru and my booking is not in their system. I immediately called TravelGuru and I was told that the hotel "overbooked" and hence they have cancelled our booking. When I asked I didn't informed the customer support person had no answer. They offered me a backup hotel which is 30 Km away from the city in the middle of no where. This clearly shows that TravelGuru is just cheating people. They are making false bookings and showing that booking is successfully. They are later giving pathetic hotels to customers which people are forced to take since no other option is available to them. I am planning to take these unethical people to consumer court if my booking does not get confirmed before my journey date. I can understand human error but this is a clear cut case of unethical behavior from Travel Guru team. Shame on you all
Be careful while booking in travel guru. The Accomadation what we got was very bad. Though we got a room in bhimas the quality was very bad. Room was dirty bathroom not cleaned. Horrible experience.will never book through travel guru hence forth. Had a very bad experience
I booked two rooms at Suraj Hotel at Nandyal. The website of travelguru showed few non ac and ac room availability at this hotel. I Booked two rooms one week in advance and paid the full amount as room charges. After one day the travel guru person called my cell number and says the rooms are not available for the dates I have booked. He gives me a option to cancel the booking or look for another hotel.
I was not sure of this peoples play. hence I asked to refund, then he says it would take 5 days for the refund. So I am stuck with that money. SO BE CAREFUL ON USING THIS WEB SITE.

Booked a room in munnar for 3 nightsmoney gt debited, I gt a cancellation mail few hours prior to check in and called up repeatedly for same, they suggested a low category hotel 30 kms away from the previous booked hotel and gave no other option and simply kept quiet for mins when Asked. Stupid site, never ever book through them
I made a booking to Wayanad using travel guru. The entire booking amount was debited from my account, however I didn't receive my booking voucher. I made a call at 8 in the morning and lodged a complaint with travel guru. It took them half a day to find out and let me know that the booking has failed! And that my booking amount will be refunded in 5 working days. I requested them to make another hotel reservation using the money that I have already paid. They gave me some bullshit about how the money is stuck with the CCA and therefore they can't do anything about it. These idiots call themselves " India' s largest hotel reservation site" .
Please don't risk your money and your holiday plans by booking with these morons.
They were the least helpful. I had to cancel my plans for the trip.

We had booked a hotel room in the Byke Hotel, Matheran and had paid 17, 010 rupees for the same through this website. We got an email confirming the booking from the site.
Imagine our shock when we reached the hotel to find that our room had never been booked. It was a mistake made by travelguru. We tried calling there but no one picked up our call for over an hour. We sat there, tired and confused.
Finally we talked to a Mr. Harshal(team leader) and he said that since it was peak season, it was impossible to get another hotel room and even travelguru couldn't find another hotel for us. We got our refund back and a compensation of 4000 rupees.
We had to go back home the same day. We didn't even get our refund back for weeks. They kept our money for such a long time without booking anything. That's actually a crime.
We had planned our holiday, closed our respective businesses and taken leaves from our jobs. And thanks to travelguru, we couldn't enjoy our vacation. It was a nightmare.
I advise people to NEVER EVER BOOK ANOTHER HOTEL THROUGH TRAVELGURU.
I have booked 2 ac rooms 2 days before my stay through TravelGuru with voucher id 0903781145489. When I called the hotel they said TravelGuru haven't updated them and they have no vacant room. For these 2 days TravelGuru has not responded to my calls or emails. On the evening of my stay they called me(2 days later and on the evening of my stay) to inform that there is no room and they will give a refund. I said I'm am with my family and I have no place to stay in the strange city they said they can do nothing about it. Fortunately the hotel manager agreed to give 2 rooms for me(non ac) and it went just okay.
Please don't book through TravelGuru as they just don't care about your comfort or even pick the phone or answer to your emails.
Travelguru is the worst. 6 weeks before my Pondicherry vacation I paid Travelguru Rs.8986 for 2 nights(Rs.4493 per night) at the Villa Bayoud and received an email confirmation from them. When my wife and I arrived at the beachfront hotel and showed the manager our Travelguru confirmation, he looked very surprised because they had been fully booked for two months and had even notified Travelguru of the same.
I called customer service and spoke with Niranjan Dhamankar, who said we could either(1) request a full refund and find another hotel ourselves or(2) have Travelguru call me back in 30 minutes with alternative options of equivalent or better price and location. As it was a long public holiday weekend and the town’s hotels were almost all booked, I decided on option 2.
Niranjan never called back so after 90 minutes I called and he proposed Lotus A Pondy Hotel. When I asked what the price was in comparison to the Villa Bayoud, he replied that it was much higher, but not to worry as Travelguru would cover this cost because of the inconvenience. Not only was the location considerably worse(not beachfront and not even in White Town), but when I immediately googled the price of it, I found the same deluxe room at 1899 per night! So because we accepted Niranjan’s so called help, we lost Rs.5188(Rs.8986 minus 3798), not to mention the aggravation.
When I got back to Hyderabad I emailed Niranjan and asked for a refund of Rs.5188. He refused, and when I asked to be put in touch with his manager or the Head of Customer Service he also refused! I followed up by email for a couple of weeks but never heard back from him(Customer Service) or from the Feedback department, who I cc’d to my emails.
