After reading this other favorable review about Scribendi, I tried them out and I was shocked at their service. It is poor quality and even a nursery student could have done better editing. I submitted a letter for revision, which I totally believe had a lot of adjectives and wordiness that I wanted to be edited into a proper structured paragraphs.
I submitted 400 words, cost me about $7, and this is what they changed:
Individuals I know changed to Individuals I have ever met
Utmost changed to Closest
One sentence had some basic grammar changes made:
(having instead of who, was deleted, secured to securing)
Because of which changed to For this reason
Articulateness changed to Excellent oral communication skill
& changed to And
I was hoping to see them fulfilling their promise of: "we'll help you focus your message to ensure that your thoughts come across clearly and cleanly." This is what they did for editing, I wonder what proof reading results would have been!
But, I just realised I would have been better showing it to a friend. And yes, they sent in the review in a few hours, instead of the 24 hours, and that itself is a pointer to their dedication and quality! They care about quantity and not quality!
Go see your English professor if you can, I sadly did not and now I regret wasting my money!
