Ringo offers an online address book and photo album, which you can share with your friends. It works on similar lines as Plaxo, another online address book. Basically, once you register (which is free), you can upload your entire address book from various web email providers like Hotmail or Yahoo, and then invite all those in the address book to join you in the Ringo network. If they choose to accept you as a friend, they can then update their postal address and also upload photos, which can be viewed by you. This works in reverse too, and each contact has to be individually verified by you before it is added to your address book.

The site is very well laid out, with minimal text, all of which is in a large font. Thanks to this minimalist attitude, the pages all load very fast. Once your database increases in size, you will find the alphabetical index useful for searching for a friend. After some time you may feel a bit frustrated about the fact that it does not do anything else, but Ringo was designed with only one aim- to help you keep track of where your friends are- and does that admirably.
