Came across this site, http://www.investopedia.com, and was amazed at my ability, at how good I am !!!

Hey folks !!! Don't get me wrong, am not saying that I developed it :))

Just that, never thought Finance could be so simple and interesting.

Me, am an MBA from IMT -Ghaziabad, but still, I know as much of Finance as Ganguly knows about Batting these days.

All you need to have is a proper Internet connection, and voila !! you could be a Fin man in a couple of hrs, know all about Stocks and Options and Portfolio management in just a week !!

For the more inclined, there's a Simulation game, wherein you can manage your own portfolio.

The website is , really really vast and would be very helpful for one and all, especially for those who are doing some course related to Finance / Accounts.

( No wonder, Harvard praises this as the best website dealing with the world of geeks, sorry finance.....chec out at https://hbswk.hbs.edu )

I accidently came across this web-site a few months ago, while searching for definitions of some terms related to finance. After my first visit, I have made it a point to visit this site atleast 2-3 times a week and spend atleast 1 hour learning something new.

As the name (investopedia) suggests, it is really an encyclopedia of information related to stock markets, debt markets, corporate finance and much more. This site really caters to all types of users, whether they are beginners in finance or seasoned players. The site has classified articles based on level of understanding of finance (beginners, advanced, active traders).

There are sections like - Dictionary, tutorials, articles, ask investopedia and trading simulator. Each of these sections provide lots of information to the visitor without any fees/charges. There are also articles related to preparation for US CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) examination.

I liked their beginners and dictionary sections because both these sections provide information in very simple language. If you register (free registration), you can download some of the articles in PDF format for reading them at leisure. It's been some time since I passed my MBA examination and this site provided me a wonderful opportunity to re-visit most of the concepts, in a simple and time-saving way.

I would recommend this site to anyone who wants a continuing education in finance without spending much money or time. If you like the site then do write your comments and rate my review.

Hi,

A few months back I came across this site called investopedia.com, and I was very much excited about the content of the site.

This is a kind of learning portal for all those people who want to learn all about investments, financial term. The site has all information about stocks, shares, investments, insurance, mutual funds, futures, options, derivatives etc..

One can use this site by:

1: Going though the tutorial sections.

2: Learning via teams.

3: Articles.

There is a road map defined for people who are beginners , adavanced investors.

This site helped me learn a lot about the financial world. I learned how to read a financial report, what does hedge fund mean, how does a 401K work etc....

I would recommend this site to all those people who are doing anykind of investments. This site will help you understand what all options one has , and also have a better understanding of the financial newspaper's contents.
