Instantchess

I have had alot of problems with my account and I would give them a grade of F in response to my problems. My line was crossed with somebody with the same name in Great Britain. Days later I finally received an email that did not help solve my problem. Now I have been completely cut off and I believe I still have time left but can't resolve the issue.

InstantChess is a free chess server for casual players. After playing many games on FICS (Free Internet Chess Server), I realized that most people are serious and are very good at chess. I get my arse kicked everytime as I'm a casual player.

I stumbled on InstantChess and it is everything I need. Casual players that meet my skill level, quick to join games, and no registration. It is also very simple to use. It only takes seconds to get in a game. Games can range from 15 minutes per player to only 1 minute! Game support such as Takebacks and Draws are supported and are a very nice feature. My only problem is that the playing area is a bit small. This isn't a big deal but it would be nicer if it were a bit larger like in FICS.

I recommend InstantChess for anyone who is a casual player and isn't too good at chess. Overall,  InstantChess is well worth your time and is very well done.

If you are a novice and want to just watch a few games before playing a trial game, you can do

it here, as soon you reach the first page, you have any 2 player game randomly selected by the

program comes on display on your screen, just watching how others are playing, the player screen

names and their country flags come up beside the names. You just write your chosen name in the

form, your country is automatically selected by this wonderful program on the site and your

country flag is displayed by the side of your chosen screen name.

The site makers call their site a gym for your brain. Let me tell you what happens once you

enter your name in the form and press the button START GAME.

A chess board comes up where you are automatically slotted either on Black or White pieces

side and you are given a automatic opponent selected from the online users present on the site.

The script or the software they are using on this site is LIGHT and it does not download anything

except cookies. It takes only few seconds for the game to get loaded, I have played chess on

Yahoo! and other sites, they are all heavy programs on your PC.

Apart from their software being comfortable, you have choice of good options to select

Blitz chess or choose time duration you want your game to last, I like quick play so, I select

Quick play, moreover you can leave a game and start a new one if you feel like, it is just easy

there is a cancel button under options. There is a resign button too.

You can CHATwith your opponent while playing your game, the chat words come near the base of

your screen. You can also choose to be mute, you can also see the MOVE notations being recorded

to the right side of your screen, if you do not know how to spell the names of the moves in

Chess Jargon, you can learn it here easily.
