Dear Edugorilla Team,
I would like to share my highly unsatisfactory experience with Edugorilla. I was onboarded around April 2024, and from the beginning, it has been nothing but a frustrating ordeal. I was promised that my website and application would be ready within 15 days, yet it took 1.5 to 2 months due to technical issues on your end. Because I had already committed to Edugorilla, I had to forgo my existing website and application from a previous provider, leaving me without essential tools for my business during this extended delay. Despite me clearly stating that I could not operate without these resources, the delay continued for weeks.
The major issues I have faced with Edugorilla are as follows:
Payment Gateway Issue:
You assured me that payments could be accepted from any bank in the country. To my surprise, you are not even integrated with India’s largest bank, HDFC Bank. I have lost several business opportunities because potential clients were unable to proceed with payments. I am a small business owner, and this failure on your part has directly impacted my livelihood. Despite raising this issue multiple times and requesting a change in the payment gateway or the ability to integrate a new one, I have been ignored at every turn.
Unfair Contract Clauses:
Upon onboarding, I signed a contract that I later realized includes a grey area that allows you to alter the terms at your discretion. Once a user has invested time and resources into your platform, they are left with no choice but to comply with new terms, which feels exploitative and highly disappointing.
Unstable Application and Poor Communication:
The application provided by Edugorilla has never functioned smoothly for more than 20 days at a time. On multiple occasions, the app has been delisted from the Play Store without any notice. There was even an instance where I informed my new leads that they could access live lectures through the app, only to discover that the application was unavailable on the Play Store. This caused immense embarrassment and damaged my credibility. An app builds trust with users, and when it fails repeatedly, that trust is eroded.
I openly ask Edugorilla:
1) Who gave you the right to damage the reputation I have painstakingly built over the years?
2) Who gave you the right to stifle my business growth with your poor service?
3) Why can’t you simply deliver on the promises made during onboarding?
Your team’s unresponsiveness and failure to meet even basic expectations have left me with no confidence in your ability to support my business. I expect immediate resolution to these issues, or I will have no choice but to explore alternatives that respect my time and business.
Sincerely,
TEAM DBTA
