The first I had ever heard of 2001freebies.com was reading site review on the Internet at a consumer opinion site (the way I find out about a lot of excellent sites). However having visited many freebies sites before I have to say I was not convinced of the sites recommendation from the- ciao- reviewer. However, thinking what have I got to lose, I headed over to check it out. The first thing that struck me about the site was the freebies were open to everyone! Which meant no enrolling, no unwanted newsletters, or annoying e-mails. The home page is rather dull and boring, and the whole site is not flash or exciting in anyway, BUT it does do the job it is meant to excellently. Other sites I have visited before offer -links or freebies that are not wanted (probably rejects of sites like this).

2001freebies.com is completely different; it genuinely is a site you will want to come back to. It has hundreds of links! Some of which will surely appeal to everyone! The site brags some 19 categories, all of which have a vast selection of mainly excellent link within. My own personal favourite is the samples section. From here you can get free samples of everything from coffee to tea, to cosmetics to pet food. But do they come? Yes they really do. I applied for several sample freebies, including a pack of 40 CIF window wipes, which turned up (though a little late), Wild bird food (okay so I'm hot that exciting), cat food (a few samples of this), shampoo, mens cosmetics, (and my daughter even got some free monthly necessity samples) But of course samples isn't the only thing you can get at this site. They also have ways in which you can get money via your computer (you've guessed by, emails, visiting sites etc).

There is also a category that links to many British charities. And if you need a new free mouse mat then you can get one of those here too under the free mouse mat section. There are also sections, which have free screensavers (though I haven't checked this one out yet). Following the links under the beenz section means you can collect free beenz. While the software section offers you utilities, freeware games and more. There is also a section dedicated to free to enter competitions. Some of these links lead to places which some of us know about already, such as my offers.co.uk and banana lotto.co.uk But you may not be so aware of ones such as: Katroo, Blartly, or compaholics. You can also send free SMS text messaging from the site, get free web space, and ring tones and logos. It really is an excellent site with a lot of useful and helpful links that could keep you online for hours to check them out.

The home page is a bit dull and boring-nothing flash here. BUT that said the site does fulfil its ambition very effectively, and the flash explosion would only increase loading times I expect. Navigation is simple enough, clicking on the section you want from the home page, and then choose your link on the new loaded page! The only way I can see to get back to the site once you have clicked a link is by the back button on your browser. So head over order your freebies and sit back and wait. Things have never been so free!
