Sony KD-55X9000C 138.8 cm (55) LED TV (Ultra HD (4K), 3D, Smart) Reviews

Coloured lines appearing on the screen.
Jun 23, 2020 10:30 AM 416 Views (via Mobile)

Sony KD-55x9000B is the TV which I own. In the first 2 years I faced no problem with the product.

In the later stage I started noticing colored lines appearing on the screen. I thought it might be due to some software update that was pending but as I checked my software was upto date.

Then I called up sony customer service to enquire about this issue and they appointed an agent to come check the product in person. After all the diagnosis and everything the sony assigned agent estimated the cost to be 35000Rs to get the product repaired.

It was a very bad response from sony and they told me that I couldn't do anything else and they don't even have the option of exchange of old products to new products.

This was the worst experience I've ever been through after investing 2Lakhs on a television.

I'm sorry sony but I'm never relying on you again.

Sony x9000

Just as it seemed that 4K TVs could barely get any thinner, Sony breaks the bounds of expectation with the release of its acclaimed X900C 4K ultra HD TV., the thinnest LCD TV on sale to date. At just 0.2 inches thick over the entire breadth of its actual screen, the the X900C is not only a fantastic piece of Sony technology design, it’s also particularly spectacular as a 4K TV that you could mount on your wall for a very cool floating effect.

In addition to this remarkable thinness, the X900C is also one of Sony’s latest and best 2015 4K UHD models and has been much anticipated by 4K buffs and select TV buyers since its initial presentation to the public at CES 2015 in January.

Combining all the finest classical 4K TV features and technologies with some very interesting upcoming HDR capabilities, the X900C is definitely going to be one of the more interesting and unique 4K models from Sony in 2015. While it certainly isn’t a highly affordable model, more serious UHD home entertainment fans will definitely love it in almost every possible way.

Sony service is pathetic. I have had worst service experience ever. no other product company has ever been this insensitive to a customer's complaint. you keep on calling sony customer care and they will keep creating swrvice requests and these requests gets closed without the customer ever knowing.

Looks good great colors but awful back light bleed
Feb 18, 2016 06:22 PM 4177 Views

Intro: I had purched the 55x8500c back in october and faced issues with it in a month, sony replaced it with a new 55x8500c which also had issues and the board was changed leading to the tv hanging up and rebooting on its own till I would not start up. I asked sony to refund me but since they do not give refunds I was offered to go for a higher model and pay the difference which I agreed to.

The higher models are the x9300c series and the x9000c, the x9300c being their flagship but having speakers on the sides made it look bulky and unpleasing. Thex9000c is a super thin tv and looked good I opted for it. it took about 10 days to get it, and when it was here I noticed that the box read manufactured in august 2015, thats almost 6 months old.  very well they got to installing it, now this tv uses a different wall mount so it lays closer to your wall, the guys had three attempts at drilling holes and got it right on the fourth attempt when I found a template of the mounting with center marked.

On powering up the tv I noticed awful backlight bleed and a few patches around the top corners. Which is least expected in a tv worth almost 3l. We expect sony to have done proper testing before having this packed and sent out after all we pay a premium right?

From over the years I have begun to feel that sony is dropping the quality of its products.

On the other hand the colors and vividness as well as sharpness is good on the tv, the contrast is good but gets ruined by the backlight bleed.

I have attached pictures of it.

And notified sony when they installed it the engineers to confirmed the same.

the menus seem more refined and lag free than on the x8500c colors are better.

the only thing is when you power up you get a relay click which ive never seen in my previous lcds leaving a crt.

will update when sony provides a replacement.
