What is the MouthShut Brand Pulse?

MouthShut Brand Pulse is a blogging solution for corporates where they can reply to customer reviews written on Mouthshut, guide buying decisions, announce new launches, arrest negative publicity & criticism - in short create a BUZZ about their organization.

What can a Corporate do on MouthShut.com?

A Corporate can resolve member issues, make announcements in its Article, reply to any review, comment on other's postings, upload unlimited photos of its products. Additionally, a Corporate can also Trust/Distrust members and communicate with others through M2M. In short, a corporate can go the entire hog and do focused PR.

How can a Corporate Register?

In order to register on MouthShut.com, a corporate representative can simply fill-up the registration form. That's all! A MouthShut.com executive will then verify details and activate the account. Once the account is activated, the corporate will receive a notification email of the same.

How does one go about posting an Article?

In order to write a new Post or announcement, simply go to your Profile and click on 'Write Posts' link. You can write minimum of 100 words and maximum 5000 characters in the space provided and just hit the 'Submit Post' button.

I want to save my Posting now and publish it later. Can I do that?

Yes, you can surely save your posting to edit and publish later. On the 'Write Posts'; page you will find an option of 'Save as Draft'. Clicking on this link will save your posting. You can view all such drafts in the Drafts section in your Profile.

How can I modify a posting that I have already written?

If you wish to change/edit/modify any part of a posting that you have written, it's easy to do so. Go to your Profile and click on 'Corporate Posts'. On this page you will see a list of all the postings you have written. Click on the title of the posting you want to modify. When the posting appears, you can click on the 'Edit' button and make your changes on the page. And then click on the 'Submit Post' button at the end of the posting.

What are categories? How do I add a category in my Article?

Categories help you organize your postings into specific topics. To add categories simply click on the 'Add Category' link on your Write Posts page or Categories page, enter the name of the category and click on OK.

From where do I upload photos in my Article?

MouthShut.com's corporate members have the benefit of uploading unlimited photos in their Article. To upload photos, you can click on the 'Upload Pictures' link in your Profile. Just browse and select your desired image file and the photo gets uploaded right away!! In addition, the 'Add Details' feature also allows you to give a short description and some tags to each photo you have uploaded. Editing of Pictures can be done from the Corporate Photos page.

Where do I upload my company logo?

Your Company's logo can be uploaded from your Edit Profile page. Just click the 'Click here to upload your corporate logo' link next to the Corporate Logo field, select the image file and the logo will be uploaded.

What are Tags? How are they associated to my Postings/Articles?

A tag is like a subject or category. Related postings would look at the tags you use and then grab postings based on that. Tags can be separated by a comma and a space. (Eg. cars, cell phones, computers)
While writing a posting, just ensure that you assign accurate tags in order to associate your posting with the various products on our website. Postings will be displayed on priority of the closest tags matched with the product names on our website.

How can a corporate member comment on a Post and a Review?

Commenting on a Post:Corporate members can either comment on other's postings or on its own postings. To write a comment simply scroll down the Read Post page (Permalink page) and the Comments section will be seen. The comment must be headed with a suitable title.
Commenting on a Review:Corporate members can also comment on any review written on MouthShut.com. Reviews can be commented from the Read Review page itself. The link/tab of 'Review Comments' will show the comment section wherein a comment can be posted.

Can a corporate respond to a Review?

Yes, a Corporate can respond to a review written by any member in order to express justification for its brand/product. At the bottom of the review page you will see the option of responding to the review. Clicking on the link will take to a page wherein the reply can be written and submitted.

What is the Trusted Circle ?

Concept:
The concept of creating the Trusted Circle arises from life itself. In life, whenever one needs an advice about anything, one turns to one's close circle of friends and relatives whose opinions are trusted.

MouthShut enables you create your very own circle of trusted members on the site itself. Your circle will comprise people whose opinions you can trust.

How does this happen?
At MouthShut, we've pioneered a technology - SORT™ technology that can do some amazing things. It allows you to set filters on your personal page, implying that you need not ever see opinions of people you do not trust. Also, you can give preference to opinions of people whose opinions you want to see because you trust them.

How do I create my own Trusted Circle ?
A Trusted Circle is built up over a period of time. Every member builds up his/her own individual and personalized trusted circles. It's easy to build up your Trusted Circle, because of our unique technology.

We recommend that you do not trust or distrust a writer based on a review alone - find out more about the writer.

To do this, click on the MouthShut ID that will take you to a list of the reviews by the author. You will not only discover the quality of reviews written by the member, but you will also be exposed to the Wish List of the writer. Based on this knowledge, you can now add this member to your Trusted Circle. You can also add other corporate members in your Trust/Distrust list.

How do I change my password?

To change your password, simply go to your settings page and click on 'Change Password'. All you have to do is simply follow the instructions given and you would have changed your password successfully. It is as simple as it sounds.

What is the M2M feature?

MouthShut enables its members to communicate with other members. The M2M feature helps you to email other members, expressing personal views. You need not have the e-mail addresses of other MouthShut members. They are stored with us. All you have to know is the user-id of that particular member(s) whom you want to send e-mail to and post the message in 'M2M this member'.

What are Email Alerts?

Why should I set Email Alerts?

You can set your 'Email Alerts' if you want to know any/all of the following:

  • New reviews on products.
  • New reviews by members of your choice.
  • New postings by Corporate members.
  • New comments on your postings.
  • New comments on other's postings.
  • New comments on other's reviews.
  • Trusted List alerts.

How do I set my Email Alerts?

If you are a new corporate member, you will have to first set your email alerts and then follow the steps given below:
  • When you have read a review on a product, click on the 'Alert Me' panel.
  • If you have liked a particular author, click on the 'Set Alert' box by going to the author's 'Profile Page'.
  • Comments on your postings wil be set by default.

How do I remove my Email Alerts?

Go to 'Email Alerts' in your 'Private Profile' page and click on the 'Remove' checkboxes against each alert that you have set. Finally, click on 'Done'.

What is my Private Profile page? Can anybody look at my Private Profile?

Registering at MouthShut.com entitles one to a 'Private Profile'. This page contains all your personal information, such as your e-mail address, description, and other information that you have specified at the time of registration.

This page is completely confidential. Only you can look at it. However, other members and visitors to MouthShut can view your Public Profile.

Can I edit my Private Profile page?

Yes, you can edit your 'Private Profile' page. You can change and update any information here.

Can I see a list of all the postings that I have written in my Article so far?

Yes, you can see a list of all the postings you have so far written in your Article on our website. You simply have to click on 'Corporate Posts' link in your Profile and the complete summary of your postings will be there to view.

Can a Corporate write a review?

No, a Corporate can not write a review on its own products or any other products. This feature is not available for corporates.

What are the new features provided to the corporate?

A Corporate can now see all its activities done on Mouthshut.com on the Timeline page. A Corporate can now send and receive virtual gifts, post SMS reviews and comments on a review, diary, photo and SMS.

Where is My dashboard?

My Dashboard has been now merged with My Timeline..Trusted Circle feeds from My Dashboard have now been moved to My Timeline, where you can see all your updates as well as your trusted circle (Member I Trust) updates on a single page.

How can I search for members?

This option is only available once you login. You can search for members by going to the Hot Profile page or clicking on your MouthShut ID in the header.

Can multiple people in the corporate team respond to reviews?

Yes. You can have one main login id and two sub-user ids for your corporate account with MouthShut.com.

We get reviews on various aspects of the product/service. Can we segregate the reviews accordingly?

There is a feature called "add tags" in the corporate Dashboard, where you can create and assign tags to all your reviews as per your need.
These reviews can later be selected according to the tags and responded to.

Can I add Videos on my Brand's Listing Page?

Yes you can display your Youtube videos on the product listing page.
All you need to do is share the embedded link with your Relationship Manager.

Can I showcase my MouthShut.com Reviews on my website?

Yes, this can be done using the "Review Widget" Feature available in the Dashboard.
There are various customizations available for the content to be displayed on the review widget.

We maintain a database of our Happy customers. How can I get them to write reviews for me?

You can use the Verified Reviews Feature to connect with your Happy Customers and generate good reviews on your MouthShut.com listing.
Contact your Relationship Manager for more details on this.

Can I access my MouthShut.com account on my Phone?

Yes. MouthShut.com is now available for corporates on Mobile (Web and app).
You can have complete access to your Brand's account (Review Response, Dashboard, Reports, etc.) on your Mobile Phone.

Can I respond to the reviews in the comment section?

You can post a comment on the reviews, however it is insisted that you do the first response via the "Reply as a Brand" Tab. Only then will it be registered as a Brand Response and enable your features to work.

How does the reviewer know when I respond to his review?

The Reviewer gets a real time email notification as soon as you post a response on their review.
They also receive a notification on their MouthShut.com profile and an M2M, stating that the Brand has responded to their review.

What is MouthShut.com?

Who writes the reviews we see on MouthShut.com?

Anyone with access to the Internet, irrespective of their location, can write and post reviews on MouthShut.com. MouthShut.com is a platform meant for average consumers to express themselves freely on products and services which they have purchased and availed with their hard-earned money.

Does MouthShut.com have a department or panel of experts who write reviews?

No, there is not a single review that has been written at the behest of MouthShut.com. Every reviewer has chosen to write their review on their own personal initiative.

What are the requirements for someone to write and post a review on MouthShut.com?

A user must first register on MouthShut.com and thereafter each review must conform to review guidelines. Broadly speaking, the guidelines require that the review meets minimum size requirements (number of words), must address issues relevant to the topic under review and be free of profanity, obscenity, copyright issues etc. We also require that users not "spam" their reviews no matter how strongly they feel about a company, i.e. post the same review in multiple categories. Each user may post just one review on any one product in the most appropriate category.

Who decides what goes into a review?

Everything in a review is solely the input of the review writer.

There is a review about my company/product/organization - what does that mean?

It means that someone who has decided to express a positive, neutral or negative sentiment about their experience on the Internet about your company/product/organization and chosen MouthShut.com as the platform from which to do so.

A review about my company/product/organization is flattering - what does that mean?

It means someone had a positive experience and you ought to be congratulated. Hopefully, this review offers you information that you can use to continue to delight other customers/members.

A review about my company/product/organization is negative - what does that mean?

It means that someone had a negative experience in interacting with your company/product or organization. In our experience, with rare exceptions, a negative review is an attempt by a dissatisfied customer/member to get that feeling off their chest. In most instances they will provide details of what it is that they did not like. The organization in question can use such feedback as a data point for what its customers/members may be thinking to improve its products/services/processes. By viewing such feedback in a constructive way, organizations have a tremendous opportunity to improve their organizations.

I have a lot of reviews on my company/organization - what does that mean?

It simply means that many of your customers/members are choosing to express their opinions online. You should look at the average rating assigned to your company/organization. It is natural to expect some reviews will be negative and others will be positive.

As MouthShut.com is a Brand-neutral review portal, Review deletion goes against our policy.
