Hats off to Zoya Akhtar for such an unforgettable treat.
ZNMD.its a feel good movie about 3 totally different natured school frends - Kabir(Abhay Deol), involved in their family business; Imran(Farhan Akhtar), a copywriter in the advertising industry and Arjun(Hrithik Roshan), a London-based stock trader.
Now, these 3 had made a pact during their school days that they would go for a stag road-trip through Spain before any of them get married.
So, when Kabir gets engaged to Natasha(Kalki Koechlin), the trio set off for this long awaited vacation to Spain, where they bump into this stunning diving instructer Laila, played by Katrina Kaif. A resonable fraction of the film deals with winning over one's greatest fears, which in this case happened to be sky diving, scuba diving and bull racing.
Where acting is concerned, they were all good, but the one who steals the show is Farhan Akhtar, with his witty pick-up lines and one-liners.eg, when Katrina says that her name was Laila, Farhaan introduces himself as, "I'm Imran, dost mujhe Majnu kehte hain".
The songs are definitely a huge plus, especially my personal favourite "Senorita", sung by the 3 actors themselves. Kudos to the other trio Shankar, Ehsaan and Loy for their foot-tapping compositions. The other best aspect of the film is its cinematography and breathtaking locations that you've got to see to believe. It's just impossible to describe them in words.
The surprise package of the film is Naseeruddin Shah.watch the film to figure out what I'm talking about.
To sum it up, the movie comes with a beautiful message: "LIVE LIFE TO THE LIMIT EVERY MINUTE OF EVERY DAY; WHATEVER YOU WANT TO DO, DO IT NOW!"
