I am writing this review from my experience with this Realtykart company, hence not generalizing. I moved to Bangalore from US and I was looking for a house for almost a month and was shown a something, by one of the agents of Realtykart company. I was called many times and was told that the property is very attractive to others, so I have to react faster by paying them token money, otherwise they will give the flat to someone next in line.
When I said go ahead, give it to someone else, then I got a call next day, saying that someone next in line didn't take the property so it’s still available and I have to hurry now. I contacted them after two days from then and still the house was available! I had ultimately paid the token money and signed a document, that mentioned “if I don't take the house, then I'll not get the token money back”. Nice terms & conditions! Here I would like to ask this Realtykart company, what if you don’t give the house?
When it was time for the Realtykart to handover me the property then, one night before the date of move, I was told, that they can't give the house to me and made weird excuses, like the owner wants to give the house to his cousin and they just came to know about it! What rubbish!
I hated myself for believing fraudsters and ended up with no house to move in and had to extend my hotel stay, bringing me back to day 1 of my search. I thought I can go and meet the managers in this company, which I did, but ended up waiting for hours and the people in their office were giving silly reasons for keeping me waiting. Their “ 5mins sir, 10mins sir, 10mins sir, 5mins sir” ended up in few hours.
After few hours I spoke to their managers and they had nothing to say other than that they’ll make sure I’ll get the token money back. Wow, what an outcome. They also said the house has got a problem of leaking ceiling in rainy season so better I don’t take it. Now that’s amazing. When showing the property, it was very attractive and hot in the market, and all of sudden now it has got a problem of ceiling leak! I walked out, and since then it’s been 2 months now and still they didn't return my token money.
I have contacted them so many times but everyday they make excuses and say that I'll get my money tomorrow. I would be happy to see this tomorrow becoming realistic. I am not writing this review for my token money but am trying to help innocent people who come to Bangalore assuming everyone is innocent and every business is transparent.
