I used it because vlc media player does not have resume facility and it have but screen gets off while watching movies or long videos by unknowing reason, I think its a only drawback it have, apart from that issue it is good and most similar as vlc media player, if that drawback it dont have I think it is the bestest player over vlc media player because it have resume facility as vlc dont have it, means if you watch any movie or video on Windows Media Player and you gets interuppted by any reason that video or movie will start from exact that location, where you skips it, but it have one issue as I described above as vlc dont have this issue, so in my personal experience vlc is good than Windows Media Player and I recommend vlc to everyone because it dont have screen off issue as sm player have it.
