Beware of whirlpool washing machines. The Whirlpool Alpha m/c's power board just stop working after every 5-6 months and the company charges a 2700 + 300 to replace it. Even after buying annual contract, the power board has again started malfunctioning and they are not replacing it since the last 4 weeks. (looks like they dont want to as they have to give it free this time.) The service desk no. is always busy. The service man asid they dont have spareparts due to july rain in Mumbai
( giving me this reason in mid september!)
On top of this even though we had taken annual contract for washing machine, the papers which came later mentioned the fridge in them!
Also even though the company's brochure talks of 5 types of annual contracrt plans including economical ones, the service people refuse to take contract apart from the costliest one. The contract says there will be 3 pre-emptive visits a year.which NEVER happens.
