I purchased western digital USB hard disk 1TB before 2 years.
I did not get any issue with the product.
The device is automatically recognized when connected with PC. Although softwares are given in the hard disk itself for connectivity purpose.
Pros :
No heating issue.
Data transfer speed is good. It will start with 100 mbps and then gradually decrease and will copy constantly at the apeed of 30 mbps.
Style is good with small and round edges.
Very good option to keep the memories.
Cons :
- Data cable given for connecting hard disk with PC is very small. So that I always keep the hard on my CPU only even wire is not reaching upto the table surface to keep the hard disk. Or we will have to hang the hard disk in air only which can risky always.
Moreover , by keeping hard disk on CPU it becomes very hot which can damage the device
