Many people are takes this bike lightly but let me clear it is not that types of bike
The first Apache was launched in 2006 as a commuter in the 150cc segment. In subsequent years, TVS motors introduced the RTR moniker and positioned the Apache as an entry-lever sports Bike. In 2009, the company launched its most powerful bike-the Apache RTR 180, which also included interesting technology like ABS and LED lights. Now, in 2016, TVS has launched its most powerful sports bike yet, namely the Apache RTR 200 4V. We took it for a spin to see what the fuss is all about.
Upon first glance, the Apache 200 looks like an evolved version of the other Apache bikes In the market, which is not necessarily a bad thing. The design is familiar and yet refreshingly so. The headlight cluster is an attractive unit with LED Daytime Running Lights. The stylish new alloy wheels and the petal shaped front and rear disc brakes adds to the Apache’s charm. The front forks are painted in gold, which adds a touch of class. While the Apache 200 has the necessary design elements, quality levels could have been a little better.
We were provided with the Carburetor version for the duration of our road test. On paper, the Apache 200 4V has underwhelming specifications. A 200cc Bike that churns out 20 bhp of power is not exactly mind blowing. However, all those numbers have no meaning when it comes to real world performance. The Apache is an extremely fun bike to ride. The Throttle response of this bike is simply sublime. The needle hits the rev limit so quick that you don’t have time to shift up. The engine develops 18.1 Nm of torque, which is enough to lift the front wheels off the ground. The exhaust note during wide-open-throttle is quite sporty
