Its the 6th yr I am using Apache. The 1st Apache was bought for my younger brother before 6yrs. It was Apache 160 RTR. It was giving mileage of 53 kmpl and was very maintenance free. Looking at its very good mileage and power.
One of my cousins bought Apache 160 RTR and another cousin got RTR 180 the same year. After 5yrs also the 3 bikes had no major problem and gave very good mileage.
Last year I purchased RTR 160 Hyper-edge. After 1 year its giving mileage of 50 in Bangalore. Its very good bike, very reliable, has very good pick up and comfortable .
The areas where Apache lacks is its Gear box is not very smooth but with regular servicing its ok. 2nd thing I want to add is Apache doesn't have much Variants like Pulsar and its looks can be made better.
TVS should work on bringing some more variants like Naked version, full body cover or work on different versions like 200CC, 220CC , 300CC versions and making the variants more aggressive like Bajaj who have brought up so many variants of Pulsar.
