Good Morning to all of the viewers of Mouthshut.com. Today I am taking the opportunity of this platform to write some of the Keypoints about the Safety Measures that needs to be maintained while using the Internet services and also would give some of the pointers on the usage.
Internet is no doubt the best resource available for us and now adays it has been seen almost all aged people are using the Internet services. There is a Trend of Social Media these days and it can be seen that Kids too are attracted to the sites some of which are Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, YouTube., Tumblr etc. Now in order to be safe Online, we need to be aware about the dangers first. The Kids are more at risk as they does not really think much of what the consequences may be.
Now here are some of tips to stay safe online-
> Know what to browse first. We need to try to browse what we are looking for. We shouldnot fall for some un-necessary websites which tries to lure the visitors.
> Password is one of the key thing that will help us to be safe online. This is most effective with respective to the Social Media sites. We need to create complex Password which should be a combination of Letters(upper and lower case), numbers and also characters. We should also make sure that we keep different passwords for different accounts.
> We need to make sure that we keep changing the password at regular intervals.
> The firewall should always be turned on.
> We should also make sure that we are away from unwanted friends request, emails that we receive. We never know as someone may be plotting something for us.
Now something about the kids:
> Parents should make sure that they are like best friends with their kids. They should always encourage their kids to be sure with what they surfing or what they are doing online.
> The kids should be also educated so that if any unwanted situation arise they should come and talk to some one who is elder or to their parents so that it can be sorted out.
Now how to keep a check on the Internet Usage:
There are numerous ways through which we can maintain the usage of Internet whether Broadband or Mobile services. First we should know what we are looking for as this will prevent us from browsing unwanted sites. When we download any file whether Movie, Audio Song, Video song or any of the software it eats up the usage quota soon so we need to be precise of what to download. Using of Skype or anyother online video calling application also drains the quota at a high speed. We should also make sure that we don't leave our web browser open on a page with automatically refreshing content which will inturn keep refresing and this will inturn keep eating the usage allowance.
