I remember how Hakuna Matata was a childhood song. How we would rewatch the movie many many times.
The problem is that the animated version is so strongly etched in our minds and hearts that nothing can reach the same level of intensity.
The graphics, the picturisation has attained perfection in the new Lion King but it is nowhere near the Original.
The emotions that are emitted by Simbaa in the animated version isn't done justice to in this version mainly due to the expressionless faces of the animals who seem to be mechanically mouthing the words. The music is fantastic, but some of the scenes seem to drag a bit.
Overall a movie that can be watched, but better yet screen the animated Lion King for your children.
