This is my second review on Indigo CS.I first wrote, few months back when it was launced.
On 22.07.08 I took the delivery of the car after waiting for about 2 months when I asked about the delay the reply I got was that it is because of my choosen color MICA GREY.But I forgot all my pains when I saw the vehicle(It is love at first sight). It really looks cool in Mica Grey form compare to other colors and also looks an Upmarket Sedan.
I purchased petrol version(GLS more precisely) and it has biege interior which is contrast to Mica Grey and looks great.
I hardly drove 40 kms till now hence I could not give details regarding performance, reliability but still I found the ride quality superb specialy on rough hilly roads here at Gangtok. Biege interior is refreshing specialy for me as I was driving car having blackish grey interior, it also makes feel more spacious than actually is.Acceleration is good, uphill pulling power is superb.Interior space is marvellous. Central dash mounted digital clock is really practical as you don't need to see your wrist whenever required.Paint quality is superb.Illumination on the speedo console is superb specially car has provided seperate bright / low knob.
TATA did not provide Central Locking hence, it is quite an exercise for the driver to open the doors and the Power Window is desprately needed. But can be fitted from out source only thing is, have to loose wallet.
I found the braking is little poor compare to others. As I had mentioned earlier doors needed to be shut hard in order to lock properly, gear is little hard specially when you come back from reverse but is more smooth than earlier ones.Boot and fuel cap release levers need to be pull hard to open both and boot too need hard shut to be locked properly.Full wheelcover provided are getting loose everytime I drive the car.
My whole family are satisfy with the car's available space and the ride.
More precise details after driving few kilomters more.
