I know that more than 30% of Indian population would be using Tata Indicom CDMA pre-paid or post-paid Mobile connection. I have found that its voice clarity and network coverage is very good. Tata Indicom charges very high cost to customers compared to other service providers. Whether it be a Post Paid CDMA connection, pre-paid or Photon + Wireless broadband. That means it ensures maximum profit from a single customer only.

Nowadays, I am surprised that its customer service is deteriorating very seriously. Today, few minutes ago, I called the customer service to enquire about initial password required to login into Tata Indicom website. As you can guess, Customer Service Representative had no idea about it. He started explaining me how to create a new email address, which has no relation to my query.

I do not know whether voice calls are monitored in Tata Indicom or not. Secondly, few days ago Tata Indicom launched 1 paisa per second plan for a recharge of Rs. 53/-. There is no advertisement of such thing. It seems that Tata Indicom has launched this plan with extreme pain, as it is going to hurt its profits. So, how they are going to make salary payments to their Customer Service Representatives? Is it a reason that Post Sales Customer Service is deteriorating? Also, on top of mountain, I tried to recharge my Tata Indicom pre-paid number online today.

As you are right now, there was no such option of recharging with Rs. 53/- online. Now, Its better to go to local shop, where I can recharge. I have also a Tata Photon Wireless Broadband ( corpoarte connection). I wanted to change plan details. For purpose, today I went to City Centre, Salt Lake Branch, Kolkata. Receptionist told me that today is 1st Jan and therefore they may not help me. Then I said that I have came from a very far place and very few Tata Indicom have knowledge about corporate wireless broadband connection in Kolkata. So, why not you take my application today and process it for tomorrow, so that I will not have to come back again to Salt lake covering a distance of 29 km and a journey of 2 hrs.

They were silent to answer anything. I tried to recharge my Tata Indicom pre-paid number then. Receptionist told me that server was busy.My question is that does Head Office of Tata Indicom has a track of how many customers visited their local store in a day and how many were satisfied with resolution provided.

To my knowledge, simply, Tata Indicom has nothing to do with Post Sales Customer Service either at Local Store, Branch or through its call centre. So, I would recommend TATA INDICOM to those users who do not need any kind of post sales service of Tata Indicom.

With thanks,
