TALLY ERP - Unresolved Problem. Review on Tally ERP 9

We have purchased Tally ERP Multi-User license for our small level organization. We have two locations. It was customized according to our requirement. We faced two major issues, after wastage of 3 months Tally Support Partner and Tally Technical Team refused to resolve them. Now you can decide whether TALLY is an ERP or not -

1. Our both locations are connected thru RF link(60 Mbps bandwidth) 5 users are in Corporate office and 6 users are in Manufacturing Unit. It was decided to keep the server at corporate office. But after implementation, when we shifted the server, performance of Tally was very very slow. Users were not able to make transactions. Tally team tried to resolve it for more than 3 months. After spending 3 months, they told that you have to keep the server in plant only as frequent usage is at that location only. Since 1 year we are unable to shift the servers in safe environment where our all the servers are placed with proper cooling and power plan.

2. We work on separate networks(192.168.1. in Corporate office and 192.168.10. in Plant) in . Both networks are accessible from each other. There is no restriction in their communication. We tried to connect server(with IP 192.168.1.50) from client(192.168.10.77) at corporate office. It was not connected. Again, when connected with TALLY, Ping and File Transfer was shown to them. It was told again, that it will work on single NETWORK.?

Now we are helpless.

IS TALLY AN ERP? Are the mentioned points not included even in Small Software? An IT person will ask these basic points from an ERP Vendor?

• IT IS NOT BEING OPERATED ON REMOTE LOCATION

• WE HAVE TO COMPROMISE WITH INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SECURITY POLICIES

Now we will never recommend TALLY ERP to anyone. It is better to go for local/customized software but not for TALLY.
