This best Thali in the Commercial Hub of Nariman Point comes with loads of goodness with respect to it's mouth watering contents. A perfect place for people to enjoy delicious food with friends & family amidst amazing services & a large menu .
We, a group of 10 friends recently visited the place for lunch. The Gujarati Thali served here is a visual treat too.It was a platter comprising of Green peas Ghughra as farsan, 4 types of vegetables( Kofta Curry, Undhio, Chana Masala & Batata nu shaak), Khichdi generously laced with Desi Ghee, Gujarati Dal, Kadhi & Papad. Generally the regular Thali has only one sweet but thanks to the festive season we got 2 sweets Baasundi & Gulab Jamun. The different accompaniments like chundo( mango muraabba), Keri nu Athanu( Mango Pickle), sweet Chutney, spicy Chutney, fried green chillies, lemony onion rings were truly made me lick my fingers. To digest this heavy food you get an unlimited supply of Chaas(Buttermilk) too. Loved the combination of the contrasting textures and flavors(sweet, savoury, spicy) the Thali serves. The manager informed that the dishes may shift depending on seasonal freshness, but the overall structure of the platter remains nearly the same. The dish which I found the best was UNDHIYO.a mixed veg preparation, soaked in oil, a bit on the heavier side but with poori it was a Simply superb experience.
The restaurant ambiance was nice and simple, menu was large, worth the price we paid when it comes to quality & quantity both. Appreciate their super fast services & amazing hospitality . For me this Gujarati Thali was a bliss but STATUS VEG RESTAURANT, I will be coming back to you with my family to try your North Indian & South Indian delicacies.
