My Sony Ericsson mobile which I had got it in January 2007 after long thought and research came out well so far. I was using the Nokia 2600 mobile phone before using the Nokia 1100 mobile phone which was my first phone out of college. I found out this w810i mobile very exciting and thrilling. Be it the camera features, video capability or the walkman with speakers. All the features are up to my expectations. Before buying this I had some research on mobile models and finally decided to go for this, which now I feel it's worth it. The camera quality is that good that everyday my friends have a photo session with my mobile. I like the walkman feature in this mobile the best. I like listening to songs at high volume generally.
The walkman in this phone is that good that I love hearing to this whenever im on the move to some long trip. With the advent of installing power supply points even in trains made me use this seamlessly while on the move also. The only issue is that all the compartments of the train doesn't have the power supply outlets so we need to roam and wait in queue to get our turn. Coming back to the point of image capture, I tried taking snaps even on fast moving train which came out very well. I have also attached a video file with this which was shot on a live show at ITPL's 10th Anniversary. It would be somewhat dull looking video. I guess it's good (please don't blame if you don't like it).
The only thing which I don't like so far is the contact picture. Whenever a call comes to my mobile from a contact for whom I have a contact picture, the picture loads on to the screen very late. First the ringtone starts playing and after some 5 or 8 secs only the picture will be visible and we will be able to answer the call properly. This sluggish behaviour is what I hate. Other than that I like its cool fullscreen contact picture for calls/messages. Also the UI renders slowly when I apply some themes. On the whole I believe it's worth what I have paid for it. But I read reviews of other users who have used this mobile for long time. I respect their reviews as well and this review is based on my limited usage.
