I am a fan of Sony for the wide range and superb quality of Electronic items it produces.This camera is just one of them.It is a perfect point n shoot digital camera with loads of features at an unbeatable price. The very first feature of this camera is its 3 megapixel resolution which produces perfect sharp and clear images which can be printed upto 8'' X 10'' sizes. The colors are excellent and produce true to life images.
The camera is compatible with the new Sony Memory Stick PRO, which extends their data capacity up to 1GB.Memory stick is Sony's equivalent to Compact Flash Cards which you see in Nikon and Kodak Digital Cameras. The camera supports AA Alkaline Batteries as well as High capacity AA NiMH rechargeable batteries. Which are easier to find and replace.The camera comes with a set of 2 NiMH rechargeable batteries (2100mAH with charger). The Battery life is excellent and can last The Camera's LCD screen is 1.5'' in size.The brightness of the screen is adjustable.
The camera supports MPEG movie mode. You can make movies(in VGA) with sound. The camera comes with a unique scene selection mode feature with modes like Twilight,Twilight Portrait, Snow, Beach and a few more. The Twilight mode can be used to take snapshots at night. I haven't used all of the modes myself though. The camera comes with a USB cable which is used to connect it with a PC or Laptop to download the images.
One can also see the images on TV. The camera comes with only 16MB memory stick which is very less. I would suggest you to go for atleast an additional 128 MB memory stick. The camera comes with Pixela ImageMixer software and USB drivers on CD. I bought the camera for Rs. 13,500. The memory stick costs Rs.2500 or so. The camera is really worth the money spent on it.
