Air Deccan came in as a no frill airline and charges for the very limited food served on the flight. With this one would expect the fare to be low but on the Hyderabad Bangalore sector usually Jet Airways (an airline with full and excellent service) is cheaper!! In fact when I compare prices Air Deccan is rarely the lowest on short sectors.
I flew Air Deccan in April to Goa and found that purchasing the ticket early gave me a negligible price advantage as my daughter who bought her ticket a month later and jusgt two weeks before the flight paid Rs 200 more only. So the bait that early ticketds are cheap does not really work.
The flight itself was good though the stewardess was helpful but appeared inadequately trained.
The best part of the flight was the tax less shopping and it was a no hassle purchase with good delivery.
