A great historic building constructed in the late 18th century, commonly called as new palace museum which is located in bhavani mandap, kasaba bavda road kolhapur. This is an awesome place to visit. You will find some extraordinary ancient things such as weapons, jewellery, swords, pistol, embroidery on colth, and costumes of Maharaja chhatrapati shahu. The fees for adults is only 20 rs. and its free for children.
There is also one section which contains historic collections made by the animals, such as tiger heads, wild buffalo, wild dog, black panther, Zebra, lion, black buck, and black bear. Some people says that these are the animals which were hunted at that time by Maharaja.
Museum is well surrounded by trees and its very peaceful area. you definitely have a good time here.
