I have been to shillong last month, its true that we have heard alot about shillong but its not that good from my aspect. Shillong must be green and covered with mountains all around but that doesnt make it the best. Shillong is just like a normal hill station. There is nothing to be excited about shillong. There are hardly any attractive place except the city seeing point. The hotels too are not that worth they are way too expensive and the food too is very bad in taste and unhygienic. But a place near shillong named Cheerapunji is very satisfieng. Shillong doesnt have good travel accommodation airport is very far. The security for tourists at shillong is not doubtable.
It not worth going there.
