Seagate is a most popular brand which makes hard disks. I also thought this and purchased this external hard disk. I am very much dissapointed with the performance of it. It stops working just after 2 months of usage. I also lost my valuable data.
Though it is in warranty period, I get the new hard disk but the data that I lost is gone forever. I can only suggest you that do not put your valuable data in any external hard disks. You never know when it will corrupted.
