A branch of the one a Crawford Market also exists in the Nirmal Lifestyle in Mulund (West). The last time I went I had to fight for a place. btw, that was on a Sunday, but they had an amazing way of accomodating guests. Before leaving I checked with them to do a booking and they said on Sundays they do not take booking. So we reached there fairly early 12.30 p.m. Then what do I find, they have 2 lists one of those who had booked earlier evening (^#%%#*@_) and one on 1st serve 1st come basis. On top of that they had a part of 25 people to whom they gave a table. I literally stood next to the gatekeeper (incidently who was a lady who goofed it all up) for 50 mins. before I was able to barge in. We were there for a celebration! Can you imagine the state of mind for a celebration. Once u are in there is no peace, someone from the staff would come and keep putting stuff in your plate, even if you don't want it. And there is an urgency about the whole thing that seems to indicate to you, that they are keen to get rid of you at the earliest.
Again a few weeks back I was invited by relatives to join them in a b'day celebrations. And guess what, because the hosts had booked the earlier day and paid in advance they did not allow them to cut the cake. And we had to leave the restaurant wondering where to get the cake cutting ceremony done. And while leaving I noticed that on another table a b'day cake cutting ceremony was on.
I am afraid there was so much to write about the logistics that I would have almost forgotten about the food. Believe me, it's nothing great. It's spicy and for people with a slightly sensitive stomach like mine, it's best not to go there.
All in all I would say, no food would taste good, if it does not accompany proper service. After all restaurant is supposed to be part of the service business!
