When I first saw the trailer I predicted this was going to be a disaster. I have been an Emraan hashmi fan from a decade or so. The story of the movie revolves around Rehan & Shaina, two love birds now married to each other. Rehan gets a job in Romania also known as the vampire city. They buy a home & wants to start a family. Rehan seems reluctant to everything Shaina says as he had a very dark secret or should I say'Raaz' to hide from Shaina. Within a few days she starts experiencing paranormal activities. Rehaan refuses to believe her & says there is no spirit in this house. Emraan Hasmi as Aditya Verma enters the frame then. He says he had those dreams of Shaina & the evil spirit & that he can help her fighting it. Spoiler: Aditya is Shaina's ex-boyfriend. They go see a local gypsy woman where she warns Shaina about the Rehan being a murderer. With trust issues, our pretty lady shaina takes out her "mangalsutra" & then makes love with emraan in a stranded hotel. Apparently the ghost is scared of mangalsutra & can't possess Shaina's body if she is wearing it. It is found out that Rehan killed someone 4 years back when he narrates the story to one his close friend. He also states that the Raaz was apparently about him killing Aditya verma since he was a pervert & was blackmailing Rehan using Shainai's pictures. So Emraan is the actual ghost & the local priest cannot perform exorcism as he is too strong. I personally felt this movie is a hybrid combination of Raaz 1 & Raaz 2 as here also Aditya is portrayed as a painter & Rehan has his secrets just like Dino Morea in Raaz 1.
It was definitely better than Raaz 3 but the dialogues made it horrible. Same hindi film cliches saying "mera bhagawan mujhe bachayega" doesn't make it a better movie. The film was bearable, definitely not a disaster, music wasn't upto the mark. It was fast paced movie which is like a saving grace. I feel they need to reboot the franchise once again or else stop making movies like this.
