I got this book just a month before I got into college. Earlier I had done a few comedy skits on the stage at a few New Year celebrations at my housing colony. At that time I was somewhat confident about appearing in the public and doing something infront of them. Then for almost 2 years I didn't do any public perfomance.
After these 2 years when I got a chance to give a speech in front of my class, I got a bit nervous. My heartbeat was nearly 90 per minute. I really got scared and started shivering. How ever every student had to tell something or the other. With a great tension, I started my speech.
Als! I found that All I needed was some inertia that can overcome my starting trouble. The rest I'll gain confidence and get involved in my speech.

I got this book and also another book "The Leader in You", that one also by Dale Carnegie. After reading the first two chapters, I felt that it was more than enough to give a speech in front of any kind of public and I could give some very easily. later I found that I have to make a hell lot of improvements in my speech-making and at present I am referring this book for that. I realized the importance of the rest of the chapters.
For those who have got a fear in going before a public and giving out speeches, this book will surely become handy.
