A leading Model,A dedicated Actress... Review on Priyanka Chopra

I understand that Priyanka Chopra's father is a punjabi whereas her mom is from Jharkhand, Somehow, the kind of personality you associate with a hot-blooded punjabi kudi is not there in Priyanka.I may be mistaken but she is more your earthy eastern girl.Nevertheless, she is a competent actress.It has been said that models don't make good actresses.And this is generally true.But Priyanka has been an exception to this rule.She started off as a model.But with time she has developed into a fine actress.Her parents(her father has passed away recently) are both doctors but she has chosen to be in a glamorous profession.

Priyanka Chopra started off some twelve years ago.In her initial films she chose to play the sultry siren.But as she grew older she started taking up more serious roles.Or sometimes a combination of both.Thus she played a model in'Fashion' which fetched her the coveted National Award for best actress.She played seven characters in'7 Khoon Maaf' directed by Vishal Bhardwaj.But perhaps her best performance was as the mentally retarded girl in'Barfi'.She has also acted as the boxer Mary Kom in the film of the same name.As usual her work in this film has attracted high praise.

What makes Priyanka unique is her'indian' looks.She comes across as the girl-next-door.She is able to give life to the characters she plays as she gets under their skins  and thinks like them.This is indeed rare today as most people are out to make money only.
