than life visuals, high octane action scenes and drama between key characters. There is never a dull moment in this superb concluding part 2 of Ponniyin Selvan. Mani Ratnam doesn’t have to prove anything to anybody as to a master of his craft. Here the master’s masterpiece moves onto an enlightenment level to prove how the arc of key characters form center stage in the game of cholan throne. Ravi Varmans spell binding visuals is poetry on celluloid. The intricate and aesthetic detail with which the sets, massive war scenes, royal palaces are show cased - Hats off to Thotta Tharani sir and his crew. ARRs BGM is vera level mass and songs fit as a glove onto the scenes. Go watch this magnum opus on the big screen not once, not twice but many times ! to savour it’s beauty and taste every single bite of a story travelled in time since 1950s! Kalki would be so proud of Mani’s creation!
