Recently I have started using the PhonePe app. It asks for phone number to make an account and then link your bank account to it. They have told to give 75 rs for new user if one is making through referral, but I did not get anything when I made the account and when I referred someone too. I don't find it useful enough as very less number of vendors accept the payment through PhonePe. Also after experiencing it, I do not find it safe for daily use.
