MY OUTLOOK Weekly News magazine, at Rs.15 per issue, published by Maheshwar Peri, Editor-in-chief is Mr.Vinod Mehta.

This magazine is roughly 80 pages thick, the magazine begins with content page, then letters to the editor, then there is NEWSBAG, BULL'S EYE by Rajinder Puri, is always very prickly column to read, some cartoons by R.Prasad are very high quality and good art of distortions, Outlook has many contributing cartoonists working for them.

The next is BIZBUZZ, MAKING A DIFFERENCE, I enjoyed reading about the efforts of Laxman Singh of Laporia Village in Rajasthan, this village has Chauka System, A watershed management system for lands, the system accumulates rain water and turned the village into rich pastures. Amit Nath Hazra of Vivekananda Road of Calcutta has grown large shade trees from his own earned money to make his city green. Very good articles and very inspiring stories.

Under the Punjab heading a article by Rajesh Ramachandran highlighted the robbing of farmers by multi national companies like Pepsi, Nijjer Agro Foods Limited, they did not pay purchase dues to the farmers for a full year, to force the farmers to supply all their produce to their factory. If our farmers are taken for a ride in our nation by foreign companies, what is the plight of the common man. India is 85% agricultural country, these grievances are very serious, they should be stopped. There is a usual advertisement by Coconut Development Board encouraging consumption of COCONUT; I love this fruit, especially if the water during summer season, Eggs, Milk, Coconut advertisements are very close to my heart.

One of the issue read by me had all details about the NAVY WAR ROOM LEAK, how a relative of high ranking officer is being protected by all means. Outlook printed the picture for of Mr.Anirudda Bahal, the key person behind the tehelka case and MP Bribe sting operation, the pictures were posted at https://cobrapost.com, it seems officials are slapping on him court cases to shut him up, because he has exposed bribe taking of MEMBERS OF PARLIMENT.

This was a nice article I read. Volcker controversy was covered under the heading of MYSTERY MESSAGE by V.Sudarshan, there was a 7 page article on KERALA, Techno Park is being constructed in Kerala, it is called Tejaswani, Thiruvananthapuram city is soon going to have TECHNOCITY, there are plans for SMART CITY in Kochi in Kerala. FASHION, CRICKET, BOOKS, JOBS, FILMS, STOCK EXCHANGE, CULTURE VULTURE, are all written in high quality gloss paper, I like outlook for their sober outlook, it is a mature magazine, I was able to see a picture of Salman Khan, Farzana Contractor, Vijaypat Singhania celebrating something, towards the last pages of this magazine, we always have a review of a hindi film, they give ratings by yellow stars, the ratings they gave to NEAL N NIKKI was just one star, it means this movie is avoidable, it always remind me of our very own MOUTHSHUT ratings, why should I read movie review of outlook by Prayaag Akbar, I enjoy far more reviews written by our very own PRASIDDDA, The movie reviews are written by PRASIDDA on MOUTHSHUT.

I will read (PRASIDDA) movie reviews more than any other magazine reviews, I wish mouthshut start reporting category on their database, members and non members can report events in their own words, be it news features shown on channels or printed in News magazines, or events they witnessed in their own surroundings, this will create the most vibrating website MOUTHSHUT in this whole world. The world will start to login to MOUTHSHUT to read about Armature Journalists on MOUTHSHUT.

Even leading Magazines of India will start copying articles from MOUTHSHUT to fill their pages, this way MOUTHSHUT will become a SOURCE FOR SOURCES.Anyway pulling the reigns of my mind back to Outlook magazine, I found the Independence day special issue of 22Aug2005 very good. This issue I will keep it in my library permanently. The cover story was very well written, Heroes and Villains of 1947. If there is a prize from the government of India for special issue of magazines, that issue must get a prize, it is about time some consumer awareness organization should nominate magazines for the best value of reporting and good ethics of journalism, we should start rating even news channels, that will put some brake on very useless reporting we are seeing day to day in India.

Due to complain on the length of my reviews, I am making this review short and recommend OUTLOOK to everyone.
