Expecting a masterpiece from robin williams, I was definitely pleasantly surprised... though he was quiet for most of the movie, the creepy parts were the visions he had as being a member of the family. robin williams is brilliant, and it really shows the viewer how versatile he is as an actor to be able to pull off a comedy and a suspense movie so well each time. One Hour Photo, however, goes quite beyond the cliches of such movies and deals in a fresh manner with topics such as the reasons people take pictures, the sterility of modern workplaces, loneliness and, of course, obsession. robin williams is not as miscast as you might think as the loner whose entire life revolves around the pictures he develops at SavMart's photo counter. not for young children, as there is a bit of nudity and the scariness is the stalking, sort of like psycho. great movie though, I give it 4.5 out of 5 stars.
