I have been staying in different states, away from my parents for the past 6 years. Ola has been active for the past 4 years or so! . They took the market by storm when they came into the scene. Cheap rates, no night charges, etc made it looked real good. I used a cab service called fasttrack that was really popular during my stay in chennai. Their frequency was good & were mostly used by all the commuters. Unfortunately with the rise of Ola cabs, all other cab service providers showed a downfall in the market. I really liked Ola as they started including more services such as ola autos, rentals, etc. My recent experience with Ola autos in bengaluru has been horrible. Once I was about to return from Gopalan mall after watching a movie. There were'n' numbers of autos showing up in ola app's UI. As soon as the driver accepted my request, I called him. He said, no sir I won't come. I asked why? He replied, sir my tires are punctured which was kind of lame at that point of time. Moving on, I cancelled & requested for another. His number was not reachable itself. I tried contacting Ola customer care. They had no clue about the driver whereabouts. An instance where two of my female friends were cheated by the driver. It happened near yeswantpur railway station. My friend handed the money to the driver & was about to get down with her luggage. Once she got down from the auto, the driver started abusing her in local language. He threatened them by asking more money. He then went on to accuse them that they didn't pay the fare & he will create a ruckus if they didn't. It was like a robbery in broad daylight where my friends were made the scapegoats. I still prefer cab services compared to their auto service. But with the increasing number of rapes & other unlawful things, a time will come when we all have to think twice before boarding a cab.
