Photography is my hobby. So my father bought me Nikon Coolpix L23 Digital camera in the month of May 2011. This camera is easy to handle.
The following are the *features* of Nikon Coolpix L23:
1.Easy operation with conveniently placed control buttons and automatic technology
2.5x optical zoom lens(35mm equivalent: 28-140mm)
3.10.1 megapixel sensor
4.3x anti-blur methods including Electronic VR, Motion Detection and Best Shot Selector
5.2.7in LCD monitor with brightness boost
6.Smart portrait system with smile timer and red-eye fix
7.Easy Auto mode
8.17 scene modes.
It comes in 3 different colours blue, pink, red, black and silver. I have the black one. The camera's meny system is very easy to navigate. The camera comes supplied with two LR5/L40 AA alkaline batteries(approx. 250 shots).
My Digicam has Easy Auto and Auto modes. When using Easy Auto the only option the I can change is the image size, whereas Auto allows me to also change the white-balance, shooting mode(single, continuous, best shot selection and multi-shot 16) and colour options(standard colour, vivid colour, black and white, sepia, cyanotype).
The 17 scene modes available are portrait, landscape, sports, night portrait, party/indoor, beach, snow, sunset, dusk/dawn, night landscape, close-up, food, museum, fireworks show, black and white copy, backlighting and panorama assist.White-balance performance is also very consistent.
Video Mode*:
The video mode shoots VGA, 640 x 480, at 30fps, but doesn't allow the use of the optical zoom during recording. The maximum length of a video is 29 minutes.
Price*:
The price range is between Rs.4200 to Rs.4800. I would surely recommend this camera as it is cheap as well as easy to handle
