National defence academy is an Army training institute located in khadakwasla pune. It was established in December 1954. Candidates from different parts of india gets the pre-commission training in this military academy and after that they join Army, navy or Air force as per their choices.
The selection in nda is done through the written examination conducted by upsc(union public service commission), then dates for SSB(Service selection board) are given to the selected candidates. It’s very tough to get into the nda. The centres for ssb is mainly Allahabad, Bangalore, and Bhopal.
Every year nearly 280 candidates got selected and they spent 4years of pre-commission training and get into the fighting forces of various regiments as captains. Every candidate faces very hard training and various difficult situations here yet it’s a dream of every child to get into NDA and serve for his country!.
