Mungaaru Malhe~ Anisuthide yaako indhu…………………!
The Cast:
Ganesh, Sanjana Gandhi, Ananth Nag
Director of Photography: Krishna
Music Director: Mano Murthy
Director: Yograj Bhatt

The shower:
Mungaaru Malhe means the first rain of the season has indeed showered the first hit of 2007. It has brought in a new cheer for the audience with its refreshing story, screenplay, songs, lyrics and overall the visuals. The movie is a saga of love, trust and sacrifice. The strength of the movie, which is also its weakness and had made people throng to the cinema hall again and again, is its climax, which is not cinematic but realistic.
The Team:
Mungaaru Malhe has no big names. The movie is produced by a first timer. The director, Yograj Bhatt has to his credits his two previous movies, which were commercial failure. The hero, (Comedy Time) Ganesh, although has his first and previous movie as a hero, a successful one. That although didn’t fetch him any new projects. Many had whisked his first film success as a fluke. Ganesh has answered his critics in a right way. The heroine, Sanjana Gandhi is a fresh face to the Kannda industry. The music director, Mano Murthy, who created music for only limited movies from America, has stamped his signature in style. His music are creating waves and are the new anthem of the youth. Mano Murthy had previously been the music director for most of the movies directed by Nagatihalli Chandrashekhar. This was a change, which will get many other movies to his credit.
The Stealer:
The movie has a major character in this movie, the rain. 80% of the movie happens in the rain. I wasn’t surprised when some of them asked ‘Is it raining outside?’, while coming out of the movie. The movie will make you feel so. Any one watching this movie will get drenched in the rain will see him or her in the movie. The man in doing so is the Director of photography Krishna. He has captured the visuals that will leave you no words to express. He has shown the enthralling Jog falls in a song ‘Kunidhu Kunidhu Baare’ so spectacularly that one would really wonder and ask ‘Is this our Jog?’. You need to watch this song to experience the visuals of Jog. No movie has ever shot the falls that makes one spellbound.
The Story:
The movie doesn’t shows any great moments in the beginning, It starts with the hero, Preetham facing the heroine, Nandini in some unusual moments, which makes him fall for her. In the meanwhile, Preetham has to travel to Madikeri with his mother to her childhood friend’s place. This is where the journey starts. The visuals of the Nature and the sound of insects, the rain will give us a feel of the season yet to come. Preetham finds Nandini again in Madikeri, and ends up going to her place itself, which was his mother’s destination. Preetham proposes her and she rejects. He finds himself in a precarious situation when he gets to know that they have come to attend the marriage of Nandini. He decides against troubling her and leaves the place. But a phone call of Nandini, the tantalizing remarks by her makes him return back with a new guest that he finds on the way, the rabbit, Devdaas. Devdaas becomes an integral part of the movie from here. He is the one who shares the joy, the agony, the suffering of Preetham.
At a certain juncture, Preetham signs off and accepts that he will never be able to win Nandini. The moment is captured at a river side, where Preetham sits and has toddy and delivers the best moment of the movie. He puts out all his pain in front of Nandini. It goes as “I know that I will not get you. Rather than harass you and be called a loafer, I would remain a decent guy. But remember that you would never find anyone on this earth who would love you as much as I do”. This moment captures the mood of many audiences. These are the mesmerizing words that will take everyone back and remind of their lost ones. Although Preetham decides on leaving her, Nandini gets touched and starts liking Preetham. She starts adoring Preetham that makes him confused. In the meanwhile, Nandini’s parents are busy with the marriage preparations, unaware of the developments.
The Twist:
Nandini’ s mother comes to know that her daughter adores someone else and is also ready to elope. Unknown of the fact that Preetham is the one with whom Nandini has come close, her mother requests Preetham to ensure no untoward incident happens, and the marriage happens as planned. Nandini ‘s father who is a heart patient also trusts Preetham the responsibility of seeing to that the marriage will go on even if anything happens. Preetham is stranded in between. On one side is his love and the other side is the trust. What happens forms is the climax. The most interesting part of the movie is the way the climax turns up. It is something different from the regular movies. It does not show any heroism but shows reality that everyone relates to. This forms the strength of the movie.
Whats in?
The Rabbit, a mute spectator for this journey of love will make you laugh and also cry. The final scene makes you cry where Preetham puts all his pain in front of Devdaas. The song Anisuthide has already become a rage and anthem of the youth. This is the song that has made all remind their loved ones.
The Run:
Mungaaru Malhe is all set to break the previous records of the Industry for the main reason that, it has been augured well with all type of audience. It takes your memory back to those golden days. The best ingreident of the movie is the light dialogues. One will not predict the dialogues as seen in other movies, nor is it monotonous. It is light and makes a difference. The movie reminds of a yesteryear superhit movie “Bandhana’, which also had a similar line of story. After a long wait, Mungaaru Malhe has really showered the rain to the industry, to those waiting for a good movie. Go and Enjoy.
