Mumbai MS meet - Jab we met Part 1. Review on Mouthshut

Finally my take on the Mumbai MS meetJ. I am basically a very aalsi person so I wanted to do this ‘haule haule’:P. All the SRK haters(especially Mr. S) would kill me for this but anyway.

So let’s begin. Recently I have been quite inactive on MS. One fine morning I received an M2M from Akash informing about the Mumbai MS meet.i was pretty excited to hear about it as I had read about such meets before and already the grand success of the Delhi meet was doing the rounds of MS. After that a series of M2M and DPs followed, for finalizing on the date and venue. 3:00 pm, 27th December, Inorbit mall– Lets Rock MS meet at Mumbai, Akash’s final DP declared.

When I started for Inorbit Mall on Saturday thousand of things were going across my mind. I was nervous and excited at the same time. With so few people actually replying in the affirmative for the meet, I wished at least some of them turns up finally. I had even asked a friend to come in case no one turns up, so that I don’t end up looking like a fool.

With much apprehension I walked in through the Hypercity entrance at 3:00 pm and went straight to the main entrance where everyone was supposed to meet. And to my horror I found no one of the likes of MSians(I did a little R&D day before to know how everyone looks so that I can at least know when I see them). Panic stricken I rang up Akash and asked him where he was. When he said he was at the station and will reach in a few minutes I heaved a sigh of relief. The next 5 minutes seemed like 5 years as I waited impatiently for Akash’s miss call. Finally he called me up saying they were waiting at the entrance near shoppers stop. My eyes were searching for someone with black shades( As Akash is always seen with his shades on in his album in MS). I saw three men standing a little far away and one had a guitar with him. I figured out maybe that was the group and started walking towards them. As I neared them, I smiled in the hope that if anyone reciprocates I will know for sure. And Akash did. Though he was not wearing his shades, I recognized him from the smile. Akash, Dhiraj and Atul were the threesome I got to know. Soon Sajith and Praveen joined us(See here also they came together: P) Praveen was gushing like a baby introducing himself as babukris while Sajith had a composed smile on. Infact I thought him to be a rather serious person when we met, but gradually the misconception was gone as the day progressed. I got to know from Sajith that neeru(madam_bindass) was not going to come and again I began to feel a bit nervous. I was the only girl in a all boys group and that too not familiar with anyone. I had only interacted with Harry ji before among the group but I knew he was not going to come as he had some prior engagement. So when a jolly looking sardarji dropped in to everyone’s surprised I was more than happy to see him literally. We had a quick photo session in front of the Wills lifestyle and Giordano posters before the cops intervened. We then made way towards the food court. Atul was frisked the most at the security check. The guards maybe thought he had an AK-47 with him instead of a guitar and that the rest of us were some new terrorist outfit. Inorbit mall was decorated beautifully because of the festive season and it elevated our moods further. By then we were engaged in casual chit chats. We found ourselves a good place to sit in front of the Naturals ice cream outlet. Quickly 3 tables were brought together and we made ourselves comfortable. Our own Santa ji surprised us yet again with beautiful candles and accessories as gifts. Sajith had brought toffees from lonavala and I had got some éclairs for the baccha party. Dev ji joined us in a short while. Harry ji welcomed with a warm hug. Soon the chat session was in full flow. In the meanwhile Atul played Hotel California as Diraj joined him in the vocals. People around us were casting amusing looks at us. Cant blame them though, a gang of guys all of different ages and from different regions with a single girl singing and laughing together like they did not care about anything in the world, would look amusing to any one who did not know what was going on.

We needed something to eat as we chatted so I suggested ice cream. The baccha party agreed to it at once and natural’s tender coconut flavour was an instant hit with us.( Sajith had wanted some lime juice on his but unfortunately the Natural’s guy did not have any lemons). Praveen, Atul and me went to get some water while Akash got the ice creams.

Now babukris never misses a chance to impress a lady. I will tell you why. He ordered two plain mineral water bottles. I wanted chilled water so I just said, oh so u r going to take only plain water? Immediately he changed the order and made it two chilled mineral water bottle. He even drank from the chilled one though he wanted a plain one first. This is only one instance. Throughout the time he did some or the other things in favor of us girls. When I pointed this out later to everyone, Sajith asked, are you impressed? I said no. He began to laugh and pointed out the futility of praveen’s efforts.
