Mount Abu is located in Rajasthan. I am gone to Mount Abu last year in summer it was really a nice experience. Mount abu is the only hill station in Rajasthan. It is located in Aravali Hills which is one of the oldest mountain range in the world.
I I had gone to Mount Abu from Udaipur by taking Bus. The road journey from bus was really a nice experience.The scenery along the road was really nice I was amazed. Nearest railway station of Mount Abu is Abu Road bus is about 30 km apart, from this railway station trains for Delhi and Jaipur are available. This illustration is well connected with roads as well as Railways, nearest airport is Udaipur.
There are about more than 20 sites in Mount Abu to visit. Some sites are really very nice like gurushikhar, Dilwara Temple etc. There is also Sunset Point there which is really very good. Scenery wise it is a very good place.
There are a lot of hotels in Mount Abu. But they are really costly, during the peak season hotels increases there fares. I had book the large size room for which I was charged 2000 rupees for one night.
Safety wise it is a secure place. Before entering the Mount Abu each buses and vehicles are checked by the securities. There are local police Stations there which take care of rules and regulations of Mount Abu.
