My recent visit to Forum value mall Bangalore, I saw this new just opened restaurant and immediately decide to have a good south Indian evening snacks there. Entrance and color combination of restaurant was impressive and raised my expectations for next 30 seconds - till I sat on one of the tables and asked for menu. To my surprise, waiter said - "Saaar (Sir), no menu card"
I ordered a plate of idly wadaa and a masala dosa instead of going to the Menu Board at the entrance of restaurant. After 10 mins the waiter brings in 2 glasses of water (no mineral water available). The water was dirty, oily and stinking. When I asked him to replace this water, all the waiters were staring at me as if I have committed some criminal offence. Finally little better water came - but still not good enough for me to drink it.
Here comes the plate of idly vada and Dosa. Idly was OK (strictly OK) and vada was BAD!! Even worse was dosa - so oily that you can actually fry another vada out of the oil dripping from this dosa!! They served two tiny bowls of so called 'ghee' which surely was some melted grease or other lubricant but not ghee for sure. I was fed up and got up in less than 2 mins, asked for the bill - to my shock RS. 130!!! Well anywhere in Bangalore idly vada plus dosa won't cost more than Rs. 50!! Threw the bill bucks and quickly crashed out of the restaurant to save my life!!
My advise to any MS reader...dont waste your time, money and mood in this restaurant. If your are in forum value mall, Transit food court surely has better food and ambience!
