Best Machine of wheels for India. Review on Maruti Suzuki SX4

I booked White ZXi on 1st July in exchange for my Baleno VXi 2004 model.

Dealers told me that I have to deposit baleno same day . though I asked them if I can keep it till SX4 gets deliver.

but finally he agreed to provide me atlernate cars whenever I needed. so I still manage with out baleno. but temporary cars are got were really dabbas:-p

Dealship experienceThis is my 3rd car from same dealer. and I am happy with their services. in past when ever I called he sent mechanics even for minors problems like punchres.

and in between booking and delivery time they provided me alternate cars.

but he gave zero discount! though added minor things like bumper protector, body cover, floor mats for free.

he advised me for paint protection coat, charged 2800 for this. I think its good for white color cars.

dealer did complete mechenical and electrical checkup in front of me. this took about 4 hrs.

Looksthis car has got stuntting looks!, SUV like ground clearance, Big alloys give SX4 a masculine exterior looks.

Interiors I read many guy complaining about materials used for interior. I agree power window buttons, mirror setting toggle nob, on steering audio controls etc are veri plain. some silver or woodish garnish should be there.

back dash(behind rear seats) its all plastic, here they should add fabric. it will become very hot in summers.

front dash is too good, integrated audio and climate control looks good.

Engine This car has got M series 1600 cc 102 bhp engine. this has "drive by wire" technology. when u press accellarator, then sensors convert this pressure engine power output. this techique helps is better mileage. inside cabin there is no engine noise even at 100 kmph.

Performance I drove SX4 about 100 km yesterday itself. Its has got very good pickup, I didnt took it beyound 100 kmph because its still in runin period. but gear shifts are harder than Baleno. Baleno had wide range in 2nd and 3rd gear shifts. I have seen baleno doing 100 kmph in 2nd gear;) but no sure about SX4. AC is veri effective no issues.

Handing handle is veri presise on highway and in city traffic. powersteering response varries with speed. reversing this car is a big pain due to rear headrests.finally I removed them now rear view is clear. but I advise for distance display reviser parking sensor. infact this should come as standard fitting in SX4. I didnt got a chance to test ABS. hope I never need to test it;) but breaking is much much better than baleno. Once my front wildshield got a minor crack when I pressed breaks suddenly at 160 kmph.

Fuel economytoo early to say about this. I filled about 10 L normal pertrol yesterday. and it has done 100 km and still has some fuel. so its 10+ kmpl for sure. and will improve futher after 1st and 2nd services.

Music system sound quality is veri veri avg. its because of bad speakers. music system is good. u change speakers to get better sound. it has got AUX port to connect ipod or phone music.

I have SE K750i and bought MMC-70 music cable. now I can play all my phone music in car. no need of CDs.

Printed Radio antenna on rear windshield  gives very good radio signal reception. and u need not worry abt anteena wear n tear n high speeds.

and my advise to guys who compare honda city and SX4, please dont compare scooter with bike

Honda City is no where aound SX4.
