Shining A Star After 5000Km. Review on Maruti Suzuki A Star

I purchase my A star Zxi in Dec 2008. Before purchase I go through lot of search on my need, that is combination of safety, performance, mileage, comfort and price. I find all this in A star.

I read in many reviews that A star has lack of boot space, but I find **boot space is sufficient**. Boot space can accommodate 4 soft medium size bags easily. If anyone needs more go for sedans like sx4, indigo etc. ( or small pickup truck)

I have 6 long distance tours of 500km each with my family of 4 adults & 1 child. A star was found very comfortable in entire journey.I travel from mumbai to Bhusawal using NH3 & NH 6. Also I travel from mumbai to pune using expressway & I drive A star with max. speed of 170kmph. I found A star is very stable @ higher speed. Driving @ 100-120Kmph is very stable & in control. ABS with EBD works excellent. It also give very comfortable ride on countryside roads( very very bad roads).

AC is very powerful, & cools cabin quickly.

I get an mileage of 17kmpl on entire drive. On highway 21kmpl (@50-60kmph) & in city 18 kmpl. (All with AC).

*Summary**-

1) Performance- excellent (very quick acc.)

2) Handling- superub (easy to drive & control)

3) Mileage- Very good Comfort- very good

4) Safety- dual airbags with pre-tensioner seat belts, ABS with EBD, central locking, in built computerized security system (so be cool) & u can add Tyreprobe for extra safety.

5) Looks- u know it.

6) Space- enough for me ( my height 5'11")

7) Emission Standards- Euro-4 & Euro-5 ready

8) My Use of Car- Long distance travelling, daily commuting to college( I am Engg. Prof.)

*Negatives**- In Maruti website they said that car has Digital temp. gauge. But actually there is only one indicating LED. Battery capacity(AH) is low, if u use blower, horn, lights, brakes simultaneously then there is lack of power.

Please don't make u r opinion about this car on reviews that based on test drives or rumors...
